Leaving in three days / DGF has NO idea we are going to WDW / Just booked PFTS 10/31! - The DIS Discussion Forums

It was a VERY tough choice to change my Halloween Horror Nights RIP tour reservation to Friday 10/30 as opposed to 10/31, and I'm lucky I was able to switch. However, I am SO excited to try the Party for the Senses and it was the only way to do it. I've never been to one, and the "Fall Harvest" is a theme that is by far my favorite out of all of them (hoping for some creative pumpkin and apple dishes). I wish there was a menu I could see for it, but maybe it's more fun finding out the day of the event. The Wine View Room was all sold out, but not sure I would have paid an extra $75 each for it.

I'm staying at the Dolphin that night so I think it will be an awesome day -- watching Illuminations afterwards, then walking to the Boardwalk, then back to the hotel.

The entire trip is a surprise for the DGF (she's 24, I'm 27) -- 9 night split stay at AKL/Dolphin along with visits to all 4 Disney Parks, and the 2 Universal Parks. We're leaving Sunday, and so far she thinks we're going to South Carolina (great place I'm sure, just not as exciting for me as WDW) and staying at a mediocre hotel... lol. She's never been to ANY Disney/Universal park yet either, but she mentioned a long while back she would love to go. She loves surprises though.

Special events include: Around the World Segway Tour, California Grill Wishes Reservation, HHN VIP Tour, and now Party for the Senses! I went a little overboard, but hey, you only live once, right?

Just need somewhere to vent my excitement since I can't share it with her and trying to keep her expectations very low... until Saturday (the day before we leave)!!! Even then, she won't know about any of the special events, just that we're going to Disney and Universal.

This is so neat! Your DGF is going to love you for this. I hope you post details about her reaction when she finds out. I love reading about surprise visits to WDW.

Have a GREAT time!! She will be Soooo excited! Are your driving? What's she going to think as you drive right through South Carolina? Your plan is amazing!

What a wonderful trip and surprise!! DH and I LOVE PFTS and have attended twice - would love to hear how it was this year - be sure and get back to us with the details!! Hope you two are having a GREAT time!
