Reading about Kidani village sunset savannah - The DIS Discussion Forums

I was reading that the sunset savannah doesnt have animals on it in the AM? They encourage the animals to return to 'off stage' area to be checked. Now, I understand it's called the 'sunset savannah' but I figured that was more maybe the way it faced or something. Is what I read true? I was kinda looking forward to getting up a checking out some animals before heading to the park (I'm a pretty early riser as it is). Looking for folks that have stayed at Kidani and can offer any info. Or a link to a post that's about it.

This seems to be true for all of the savannahs at AKL. The animals would be out early in the morning, and if I remember correctly, start going in around 10. There would sometimes still be a few animals that stayed around. The rest of the animals were back out in a few hours.

We stayed at Kidani in July in a savannah view room # 7330...not sure what savannah we were on. One of the cast members told us that the animals were not out in the morning because that is when they are getting their "check-ups".

We never did see any in the early mornings for several hours.
