Where to stay....Can you help?
This will be my first trip WITHOUT kids since having kids.
The players.......Two middle aged moms who adore Disney. The main reason we're going alone is to do things we don't have the opportunity to do when we're with our families. Normally, we'll stay at BLT with the kids. They like to frequent MK and EP most. I also love EP but probably wouldn't mind skipping MK on this trip.... Although the MK area is a fave of mine. Question is.......WHERE should we (try) to stay???? TIA for the advice.

I've enjoyed Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk with friends. Staying at the Boardwalk/BC would be special for you! My DSis came back from a BWV stay and they also enjoyed the Brewery that was there. They enjoyed sampling the beers that are brewed there and just relaxing watching the activity along the BW.
They also went to SSR and enjoyed a Spa Day. If that's something that interests you, SSR may be a more adult choice. Bobbi

If you stay at OKW, you could get a studio with two queen beds - no sleeper sofas. That might work the best for two moms.
Then take the boat (or a nice leisurely walk) over to DTD and SSR to shop and spa. The SSR spa is wonderful and they offer specials for DVC members.

OKW and VWL Homes Yellowstone was amazing and is a lot more inviting than Disney right now. Could we be selling it all in the near future? Maybe. |

OKW is a possibility because it has 2 beds and may be a better choice for you.
BCV and BWV's studios seem similar to me. Basic kitchenette, queen bed, sofa bed and I've stayed in both places with a friend, usually we choose to each have a bed, not share the queen, and it's fine. If you have the points and want to go for a 1 bedroom, well, that gives you the kitchen and the whirlpool. How long will your trip be? |

Just 3 nights. I don't think the 1BR would help any. I was hoping for 2 queens so that one of us wouldn't have to use a hide- a -bed. Maybe that does leave OKW?? |

OKW studios
OKW is the only studio with 2 queen beds instead of a queen and sleeper sofa.

My DSis and I stayed at SSR last year for four nights and loved it - we stayed in Congress Park closest to DTD and walked there every day (about a 2-3 min. walk). That way we had lots of choices to eat, shop, go to a movie or catch a bus to another resort from Marketplace to visit another resort restaurant or gift shop. We didn't do any parks that visit, although we did go to the Poly beach one night to watch Wishes. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing 'no kids, no hubbies' holiday. We just slept in the bed together, it's a queen so we had lots of room. It was nice to have the couch to lounge on in the evening to watch tv or a movie.
As other posters have said, if having your own bed is important, then OKW is your only choice. We love it there too, so I don't think you'd be unhappy with any of your choices. Have a great time!
