PAID IT!!! (with complications resulting from this computer age we live in......)

The good news,

I PAID OFF OUR DISNEY VACATION!!!!!

Sometimes however, I get frustrated by the complications that can arise as a result of doing things by computer. Example:

Our balance was due Oct 16th. I deposited checks into my bank account a full week ahead of time to pay for the balance of the amount due. This is the same bank I have been with for over 20 years, and the checks I deposited were local. The "Official Bank Check" of course, cleared immediately. The other local check they decided to hold for 10 days. Why? Only God knows...

So I call Disney, to make sure this would not be a problem, that the balance would be a few days late. We had already paid more than the initial deposit, so they said no problem. Phew!!!

So on the day the money clears, I try to make the payment online, and after several tries, it would not process. It was late at night, after Disney's Call Center closed, so I had to try the next day.

Tried the next day, still no luck. So I called (the old fashioned way), and they said their system was being upgraded (sound familiar?) and to call back later.

Called back later, and tried again. Again, the system would not accept the payment. We finally figured out that it was probably the fact that my bank had a per day limit that we were exceeding. (Did I mention I love my bank??) So we tried half the amount, which finally went through. She said try again tomorrow to pay the rest, and it should be fine.

Tried online this morning, sorry, the system cannot retrieve your reservation... Called by phone, they said, can you guess?? System upgrade again.....

Waited a few hours, and FINALLY the system took my whole payment. Now I have a headache!

Bottom line, I am glad I got it done, but I wonder if it would have been easier to just mail a check with the good ole post office.......

Now the countdown begins!

Everytime I've tried to pay it online it times out before you get the confirmation page or redirects you to the main page again....so then you think....hmm, did it go through. So I end up calling, sitting on hold and going through all those prompts and the CS rep always is able to pull it up and let me know that the payment did indeed go through. Funny, it happens every single time I try and pay online and still to this day I try and pay it online, LOL You'd think I'd learn....and just call the payment in since I'm going to have to call them before it's over with to confirm the online payment anyway.

Oh well....glad your package is paid for....ours is too We had a whopping balance of 36.50 yesterday but then my MIL cancelled so now I have a credit of 50.00....LOL I'll just be glad to get my package stuff in the mail....won't you.

I paid my balance off online with my debit card.
I submitted the payment and the site told there was tech difficulties and the payment could not be processed. Please try again.
So I did, and guess what? They charged me twice even though they said it did not go through.
I called and they refunded the money however it took about 4 business days.
Thankfully there was enough $$$ to cover their mistake and I did not incur any charges.
