Reservation # help?

Don't even know what to call the thread, but hoping someone can help.

My In-laws bought DVC at the end of Sept. DH, DD & I are using the banked '08 points to stay at BWV in January. My MIL was able to make the reservation for us, though I guess we are listed as additional purchasers.

Here's my question....

I can get on the dvcmember website under her username and password to retrieve the reservation information, namely the reservation number. My ADR day is Friday. So, I tried logging into WDW under her user and tried to enter the reservation number and I'm getting all sorts of error messages, namely "try back later."

Is all I really have to do is "try back later" or is there a glitch somewhere that we are not understanding? I do plan to call for my ADR and the one I really want is the one that opens Friday, so even not staying on-property, it would still be my day.

Regardless, I still want to know that I have the right reservation number and that when I get there, I will have a room.

I know, probably not a crisis. But we're being the DVC first-stay guinea pigs, even though they are the members. We still don't think they fully understand all of it and we're pretty sure they expect us to get it all figured out.

Any ideas about getting the reservation number to work on the Disney website?

TIA

I've tried in the past to use my ressie number to make online adr's. It's never worked for me. It usually says it doesn't recognize the number. I just call dining to do all my adr's. You could call member services too to set up the adr's but they don't open until 9.

So, does that mean they don't let you do the 90 +10 ADR? Do you have to call everyday for as many days?

I think I'll call member services today to be sure I have the ressie number correct and ask about us checking in and stuff (we get in VERY late so I don't want any hassles). I may ask how it works with calling for ADRs. Just try to get some scoop.

I'm happy to have member services to my couple ADRs later in the morning. But we are trying for CRT, so I need to call Disney.

Thanks for a reply.

90+10 means call 90 days out from the start of the reservation and then reserve up to 10 more days. Is that the problem you are having? Plus if your reservation is only four or five days long, you can only reserve for those four or five days and nothing after that if you are not staying on the property.

Yellowstone was amazing and is a lot more inviting than Disney right now. Could we be selling it all in the near future? Maybe.

DVC reservations #s DO work for online dining, just not consistently. I don't think anyone has yet determined what the issue really is. I can make mine work using Firefox as my browser, but not using Safari or Opera.

And it's not just DVC #s -- other ones have problems as well. It's a website issue of some kind. So I would try a few different browsers and if you still can't make it work, call on the phone.

This was my primary issue. I did call and I guess DVC reservations never show up on wdw.com. But she did say tomorrow it would show up for dining.

But yes, I'm on here enough to know that that little nugget is not a guarantee. I will be calling for my reservations. That and not wanting to get up in the middle of the night.

I do hope I can manage them online, but don't want to be making them online.

Thanks everyone!

I did my ADR's last month online.
On the WDW website, go to book and then dining reservations.
Pullup the first restaurant you want.
Click Book a Reservation.
Click the "retrieve your reservation" link, it's on the line above the date box.
Enter confirmation #, last name, arrival date & resort. Then click retrieve.

It should pullup your information.
