Bummed ... Wishes Dessert Party sold out!

Wow!! It was just extended last week (I think) and it was already sold out for two of the three nights we're in MK !! Third night we're at MVMCP ..... They told me to keep checking for cancels, but I'm not banking on it

So 'fess up ... who's there taking up my spot 12/13 - 12/20 ... was hoping for 12/19, but would take 12/14 !!

It is! I wonder if its sold out for the 18-23? We tried last year but they accidently booked us for the dinner. There is some sort of dinner thing there too.

Actually, they extended it several weeks ago now--I want to say in mid-September. I found out a couple weeks late too and all of my times were booked. But then I read on a thread that somebody got a ressie the week I needed--so I called again and got exactly what I wanted. SO! Don't give up hope!

??? The Wishes dessert party just started in the summer of 2009--unless there was something else I'm not aware of that was similar.

Yes, the party was extended back in September. I immediately called for reservations for any date from Dec. 12 - Dec. 15 and all days were booked. DH was so disappointed but I did try.

I love sweets, but I would have a hard time with this. All that sugar would make me feel uneasy in my tummy.

I look at it like the sweets were a "bonous" I really wanted it for the viewing of the parade and fireworks ... As much as I love the parades and fw ... I HATE sitting around for an hour waiting holding our spot -- especially with the 2.5 year old ...... so for a price, of course, no worries about where you're sitting !! Again, the sweets were just an extra!!!!

I booked mine for Oct 28th. Funny thing is, my wife said it was prob not worth the money. After reading about it, I went ahead and booked it anyway. She doesn't know it yet. Kind of a little surprise I am saving for her and my daughter...

My understanding is that you really can't see the parade well at all from this location. Wishes is great, but the parade is off a ways and rather blocked. I could be wrong, but that's what I remember reading.

It's true. My usual spot for the fireworks is at noodle station and you can't really see the parade that well.

wishes party

I'm there 12/20-12/26 and was initially told the dessert party was all sold out but that's because the rep was only looking at times before 8pm. Wishes go off at 8pm. Then I requested the time be extended until 9:30pm. And several spots were available. I called on Thursday of last week. So yummy desserts here I come 12/20 9:00pm. We'll watch Wishes from the noodle station and then go in for dessert.
Good Luck

I usually book everything as soon as the window opens, but was not sure I was going this time until just last week. I also cannot get an opening and we are going Dec 13-17th. If you go on a Very Merry night you have to have a ticket for the Very Merry and we have been to so many that it was just not worth it to us. We keep trying and the concierge says they will keep trying, but I have less faith in them trying as hard as I do! I am such a dessert freak that this is just perfect for me. Maybe next time I go - they will extend it and I will hop on it immediately. Seems like such a great idea with dead space one has to wonder why they never thought of this before...

I just called Disney Dinning Reservations to verify our reservations, as we are going to the Wishes Dessert Party on a MVMCP night. I explain to him that we were going to Magic Kingdom and had dinner reservations at 6:35 pm. He stated that we did not need the MVMCP tickets to get to the Wishes Dessert Party.
