Contemporary DVC Lakeview vs MK view
We just reserved a Lakeview 1Br DVC and are on the waiting list for the MK view in April. I love the idea of watching the fireworks from our balcony, but am not crazy about overlooking the parking lot. The view of the lake appeals to me more but I know you can't see the fireworks. How easy is it to get in to watch the fireworks from the deck upstairs? Where exactly is the deck upstairs? Is it in the main building? Is it right outside the restaurant? Also, we hope to do an adult dinner in the restaurant upstairs. What is the name of it so I can make reservations? Thanks all!

No matter if it's the Contemporary MK View or the one at Bay Lake Tower, I always say once you see how great it is then you won't even notice the parking lot. Now I believe the restaurant your thinking of is the California Grill, which is located on the 15th floor of the Contemporary.

Yes, the restaurant you want is the California Grill. The Top of the World DVC member lounge is on the top floor of Bay Lake Tower. It has the same view of the parking lot as the villas on the Magic Kingdom side of the building. But, still a great way to watch the show.
If the wait list does not come through, depending on where your room is located in the tower, you will be able to see the Epcot fireworks from your room, although a little farther away than the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Robert

It's also worth noting that just because of the way the building is shaped and the rooms are laid out, more than a few lakeview rooms allow a view of the MK fireworks, and perhaps partial views of the park itself.

Best of both worlds! Any idea of room numbers to put in a request? I also read that it was best to request odd numbered rooms if you wanted a view of Epcot area from Lake view room. Any opinions on that? Thanks so much.
