Has anyone ever wanted to do the FE but didn't have anyone sign up for it? We're going in December but no one has signed up besides members from our family. I've read a few of the other meet links and it seems like people have been chatting for a whole year!

I was looking forward to being crafty!

Which sailing....sometimes the Wonder gang isn't as into FEs as the cruises are shorter...especially the 3 day.

Just wanted to say that makes me sad.

Can I come on your cruise w/ you? I'll do an exchange w/ you. I'm giving out paintings. We're on a 4 day Wonder in less than a month and we have a very small group, but there are a few. I hope someone signs up w/ you!!!

I'm on a Wonder cruise for Nov. 1st. We have a nice small group of 10 families participating. Perhaps it may still happen. Have you offered to organize it and no one has signed up? There's still time between now and then. When I set up the notice for our cruise about the FE Exchange, I stated that people can gift however they choose ie: "One per cabin, one per person, adults only, children only ect.." I hope something comes about for you, but if not, you can still hang your FE and surprise your own family yourself with small gifts.

Well I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's a 4 day on the Wonder. Our family is going to do it anyway, even if just between us!

Awe! I'm so sorry. I am on the three day Wonder on Nov 5th. We have a group of 16 doing the FE swap. I hope someone signs up. Maybe this post will spark some interest.

Thanks everyone. It's the NYE cruise, so I thought for sure there would be some more people ready to count down to 2010. I'm still looking forward to making our Nemo themed FE.

I made a nemo themed FE too! It wasn't planned that way, but the craft store had NO disney fabric but they did have fishy fabric. SO I used that and added nemo accents. I love it so it all ended up well. I should take a pic

An FE is short for "Fish Extender" It is a pocketed hanging thing that is hung on the Fish Hook outside of stateroom doors. It is used for Gift exchange that is organized through the Cruise Meets Boards. Check out your cruise meets board for you sailing date if you haven't already. Someone there will usually mention the FE exchange and ask if there are any interested parties.

The thing outside the stateroom door that functions as a mail drop is shaped like a fish--thus the hanging bag things extend from the "fish" and provide more room than the fish allows, making them "Fish Extenders."

Hi,
It's Dec 30th - Jan 2nd. There is a thread started and a few people came by but haven't come back. I was so excited because this is our first FE exchange. We didn't know about it back in 2004 on our 1st cruise. We're a lot of fun, I promise!
