Ag doll hospital q, help!
If I buy a previously owned AG doll that has been given a hair cut by its previous owner, can I send it to AG doll hospital and have them rewig her? Or would they give her a new head altogether? I know they give new head, but what happens in this situation? Thanks!

You are paying for it. So yes they'll do whatever you PAY THEM to do.
By the way a new head is $40 and they will only replace whatever head was on there. So you can't change a Kristen into a Samantha. And I don't think they can just rewig but I am not sure. http://store.americangirl.com/agshop...llHospital.jsf |

I believe they would replace the head. I don't think they re-wig dolls, but I could be wrong.

found a Kit, but her hair is chopped off, so if I send her to AG they would replace her whole head right? Just want to make sure I understand. Thanks!
![]() would get the doll for $40, then $40 to get a new head, so is it worth it you think?

So it's up to you to decide how much a "new" AG is worth.

I would just go for the new doll...for only $15 more, then you could pick which specific doll you want! I think there was a free shipping code in a recent post.

Factor in the cost, too, to mail the doll to the hospital. The one I recently sent in was $14 to send and insure. For that price, definately worth it to just go for the brand new.

LOL, a few years ago I flew to Chicago for a baseball weekend, my niece wanted me to take her dolls to the AG hospital, one had loose legs and the other had matted hair. I can only imagine what TSA thought having a suitcase full of naked dolls if my bags were searched...
![]() When the doll is shipped back it is wearing a hospital gown, hospital bracelet and has a little 'get well' balloon. Very cute! |

I would buy a new one and wait for a code.
The hospital is great. We dropped Bitty off (tearfully) for lazy eyes. We only had to pay the shipping back to us because we were at the store. She came back in the cutest hospital gown. Every day my 4 year old asked about her. It took about 21 days.

I would just get a new one as well, esp. since there is a free shipping code out right now. Here is the code: PF99058. There is no minimum on this one
HTH!

In your situation I would just get a new doll. With paying shipping to the hospital you will pay just as much to buy the used one & get a new head.
In general though I highly recommend the doll hospital. I have 3 AG dolls that belonged to my sister & I when we were kids. (They are 15-20 years old.) I got them out of storage a couple years ago and they all had floppy legs & were just generally in need of some TLC. The hospital did a great job with them. They didn't get the legs as tight as a new doll, but they were all improved when they came back. They also fixed Felicity's lazy eye, which I was so excited about. When I admitted them at the store they said they didn't know if they'd be able to fix the eye, but they did! The "nurse" working on my dolls even called me during the process to be sure of what I did/didn't want done, since they are older dolls. The service was great so if you have any AG dolls in need of care I definitely recommend sending them to the hospital.

Not to hijack, but if you ever visit an AG store, take some time to linger over where the intake for the hospital is, as you will see some funny stuff...the conditions of some dolls that come in
!...Brothers seem to take a liking to the dolls apparently!

Thanks everyone, I am just going to get her the doll brand new. Do they often give out codes? How do you get them?
I am going to get her Kit and she also is a pet freak so I am going to get her Honey. I was so excited, I found a Kit outfit @ our consignment shop today for $9 complete with shoes and socks. Great condition! It is on the site for $28 ![]() I hear QVC also had AG dolls, are they discounted? I am starting Christmas shopping and birthday shopping, DD's birthday is in January so I just try to get it all done before Christmas.
