Pillow problem

So I just bought new pillows about two months ago. Just cheap ones from k-mart (cause there my usual brand, im picky). So Ive been having sinus problems since the begining of fall but only when I woke up. SO i woke up with sinus pain in the middle of the night and switched pillows (took the more fluffy one from the couch) and it worked like a charm. SO can someone tell me what to do with my old pillows to cure them?

There are hypoallegenic pillow protectors you can buy, if you think there might be something in the new pillows you are allergic too.

Also try tossing them in the washer & dryer with a couple of tennis balls. Sometimes, washing pillows re-fluffs them, other times, it takes the "fluff" right out of them. If they are too high and firm, you might be able to rip open a small section of the seam and just take out some of the stuffing.

Yea there getting washed. I was ok for awile but now its horrible. I blame the cat (with no reason) LOL

I noticed something that really bothered me on a visit to a Walmart a couple years ago. It may sound paranoid, but....

While they were remodeling inside and still open for business, they did a lot of merchandise shifting. It had been raining for a couple weeks and I noticed as I left thru the garden center that a bunch of pillows and linens were being stored outside, on shelving on a rainy patio. Some were only inches from the wet ground.

The patio had open sides and a plastic tarp over the top for a cover and was secured with a chain link fence. That just doesn't seem like a good way to store linens and pillows to me. Kind of unsanitary. The light weight plastic wrap on their pillows is even open on one end. I'm afraid of mold, mildew or who knows what. Especially if someone already has asthma. I haven't purchased anything like that there since.

Anyway try washing your pillow in hot water. If that doesn't work many stores sell hypo allergenic pillows. I buy really nice pillows from Costco and I like how the package is sealed.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww new reasons not to buy pillows at walmart. Im gonna wash them when i visit mom next. Its cheaper that way. I can keep sleeping on my decortive pillow right?
