Sea World Tickets
I was reading on another thread that you can take a bus from Downtown Disney to Seaworld. My question is. If I purchase tickets in advance do they expire if you don't use them and where is the best place to buy discount tickets?

I believe SeaWorld annual passes do begin from date of purchase rather than date of first use, but I am not sure about individual tickets. The best deal I have seen for individual tickets is a 20% discount at the gate with a Southwest Airline rapid reward cards. If you do not have a SW rapid rewards cards, you get off the Southwest Airlines web site at no cost. SeaWorld has a discount on its web site where adults ticket price is same as child's price - but I believe the 20% discount is better, especially if you have children you need to purchase tickets. I would also check Mousesavers.com under SeaWorld to see if the Southwest Airline discount is still in effect at the time you go to SeaWorld.

As far as individual tickets go, I had the same question about the expiration. I sent an e-mail to SW and asked them. Yes their individual tickets expire 1 year from the date of purchase. So if you bought it today (10/19/2009) it would be good for one year (last day to use would be on 10/18/2010). Their one day tickets can also be exchanged to get a 2nd day free if you wanted to go back. Only catch, you have to make sure and exchange it that same day before you leave; and it's only good for 7 days from the date of exchange. |

Ellie42699 - Not to jump in here on you, but where did you read you can take a bus from Downtown Disney to SeaWorld? I am heading to SeaWorld in January while staying on Disney property and I am not renting a car. I was figuring we would be forced to cab it, but if there is a bus, that might be a better option. Thanks.

I'm going to move this over to our Sea World board in case the folks over there have additional information for you.
