Special Promotions at Resort Gift Shops? - The DIS Discussion Forums

I think I've read from time to time about special gift with purchase or purchase with purchase at the resort gift shops - I think one was buy a watch and get a throw blanket.

Is there one of these currently going on? Anyone have any details?

In the past, especially around the holiday times, we have found the promos to be something like spend $40 get a huge canvas totebag for $10, or sometimes a throw (the one we have is fleece with a snowman on it), or Tinkerbell Holiday watches (we have at leaast two of those, lol). SOmetimes they have a commemorative print or plate, it varies. Also, be aware, different shops may have different offerings. The Emporium on Main Street is sometimes different than LBV gifts or whatever it is now at the CR and sometimes World of Disney is completely different from all the otehrs!

Just got back from WDW. Most larger stores and resort stores normally had two special purchases if you spend anywhere from $20-$50. Depending on the level they were a watch, canvas tote, duffel bag or throw. Most were about $15.95 with a qualifying purchase.

At the Contemporary it's called Bay View Gifts (BVG) and they also have the same promotions at the Fantasia store and Fantasia Market.

asmovies had spend 50 plus get a tote(huge!) or a watch for 15.95. on this trip we snagged the mickey blanket at hs, a canvas tote somewhere? a roller bag(dtd)(whihc we needed to get everything home!) a watch and that huge tote bag.

they were great!
