Extra pixie dust from our upgrade to SSR....

Sept 16-30 we were upgraded to SSR from ASMo. We got so many great tips from everyone before we left, and found that all DVC owners we ran into were amazingly helpful is showing us around!

A member of the housekeeping staff was extremely fond of our kids and they would run up and hug her every morning! About 5 days into the trip, she had the housekeeping manager come take a photo of us and brought balloons to our room and we got a beautiful family photo with the date and SSR printed on it! It was very sweet!

Then... around our tenth night, my daughter woke up with bumps on her face after a nap and pest control came to rip apart our room looking for bugs, and found nothing. We gave her a bath and tried to get the kids costumes on super fast while housekeeping was putting the room back together. A manager called our room and told us not to rush, a car would be sent to pick us up to drive us to MNSSHP so we wouldn't be late!

We had a ton of snack credits left, so I bought 14 cokes and took them to the bell services (it was 93 that day) and we gave them to all of the guys out there who were sweating like crazy!!! They were so thankful and tried to refuse our tips for helping with the luggage! While waiting for the bus to come, they came over and covered all of us head to toe in mickey stickers! It was totally hilarious and made the kids day!!! They were so upset about going home and they thought that was the neatest thing ever!!!

SOOOO... as if we had not had alot of extra magic thrown into the trip (and there's so much more, but I won't go on forever!)... we found out this week that we brought home a little more than we went with (and no, I don't mean the mickey mouse ears!)... we are expecting baby number four, due in June 2010... conceived during the first week of our trip

So, I am convinced... Disney is truly magical!

WOW! Congratulations on expecting a new baby. And what a magical trip filled with pixie dust. And who says Disney doesn't care anymore? Good for you and glad your family had a great trip.

Congratulations! I just love to hear these things about WDW!

Wasn't that on a commercial for WDW a few years back (something about bringing back an extra souvenir from Disney World!)?

That's great - both your trip report and your news! Congratulations!

Honestly, I think some people make their own magic -- and you sound like that kind of family based on your report (and I don't mean the baby-making magic!).

Just wondering if you ever figured out what caused the bumps on your childs face?

My DS, who is autistic, and I stayed there and loved it. I did rent a car, which helped, but we always take the bus to the MK no matter what. I thought the busses were OK, and we enjoyed our stay.

Nope, never figured it out! DS ended up in the first aid for half a day at hollywood studios because he broke out with bumps on his face and a high fever. Then once DD was home, she got the bumps on her shoulders, and the ones on her face were gone.

It was so strange!

We thought about renting a car, ironically... my daughter has an ASD (aspergers) also! But I didn't want to deal with carseats, so we used the bus system, which wasn't bad!
