Just back from the World!
Overall I had an AWESOME 40th B-day at WDW! How could you not your at WDW.
The Highlights (For Me) We had very little wait time for rides (Oct.10-17th). We utilized fastpass other wise there would have been some long waits. At the Magic Kingdom we walked on to all the usual rides POTC,TTA,CoP,HM we Fastpassed Splash Mt. (otherwise 50 min wait),Winnie the Pooh ( otherwise 45 min wait)..received a SPECIAL Fastpass for Mickey's Philhamagic with the Pooh passes..however didn't really need them it was only a standby line of 15 minutes. Faries line was 60 min. at 11am. (We didn't wait)..Princesses were only 15 minutes..Cinderella,Belle and Aurora in Toon Town Barn. It was HOT! HOT! HOT! so Minnie was with Mickey in the barn....line was out the door but moved very quickly abour 25 minute wait. Saw Pooh,Tigger and Rabbit..yes Rabbit at Pooh's playful spot. However Rabbit only does 'Special Appearances'. He is on every other 1/2 hour. When Rabbit is not there it was just Pooh and Tigger. So when we got near the fron Rabbit left for 30 minutes. We let others go ahead of us to wait for Rabbit. Rabbit is my specail FAV character after Mickey. It was really hot that day to like 94 with 80 plus humidity.A CM had told me earlier about 20 minuteds before that Rabbit does NOT come out at all anymore..he's only in the parade.Saw no characters either days in the MK teardrop. In the town square it was the same every day...Pluto,Daisy,Chip and Dale, Pinocchio and Snow White. Buzz light year was by his ride,Peter Pan was near Philharmagic now,Goofy with Donald was in Frontier land across from Diamond Horseshoe. The Fairy Godmother was behind the castle in the mid morning/afternoon.Most character had about a 15 min wait max...except for Pooh. At EPCOT Most rides no wait except for Soarin (it reached it's usualy 60 min wait) Test Track about 45 min at one point. Otherwise all were walk ons. the Character Spot had it's usual the fab 5..no extras in the hall or anything we kept checking. The wait there was a good 45min to an hour most of the day except at opening. World showcase had Snow White,Donald,Jasmine and Aladdin, Mary Poppins and Alice, Pooh and Tigger. thats all that we saw. Before entering world showcase we saw The Queen of Hearts and Marie (2 lines). At The Studios everything was pretty much a walk on line except Toy Story Mania where the wait time reach 60 minutes. At the Hat we saw Goofy and Pluto,Captain Hook,Chip and Dale, Minnie Mouse. At the Animation bldg was Mickey,The UP characters and The incredibles Mr and Mrs in one set,Frozone in another. At 4:50 on a non Fantasmic Night we saw..The Snow Queen ( from Snow White), Pinocchio with Geppeto,Mary Poppins and Penguin,Chip and Dale. The second set was Rafiki,Minnie and Pluto, Captain hook and Smee. At Animal Kingdom everything we did had less then 20 minutes waits..Sorry we didn't check Everest. The characters we saw in Camp Minnie-Mickey were..Mickey,Minnie,Donald,Goofy, Chip and Dale, Thumper and Ms.Bunny. In Dinoland we saw Goofy and Pluto,at Planet Watch it was Pocahontas,Rafiki and Jiminey Cricket. Sorrry we missed the Characters out front....darnit! The move it Shake Parade was awesome.Saw it Twice. We did the Pirates and Pals Cruise very fun....would do it again. the deserts aren't that great prepackaged cotton Candy, breakfast bars and cookies, canned soda, coffee and water.Do it for the expirence not the desserts. We did the Wishes Desert Party, I know some liked it BUT I would not do it again. We were full from dinner and the deserts, even if not full weren't that terriffic for the cost in my honest opinion. We did 2 MNSSHP both great.yes it rained a bit one night..but it quit. Parade was great, characters were great. On the rainy night the alice characters were in the Toon Town Barn very fun...it was Alice,Mad Hatter,Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.Later the queen and White Rabbit were by the Teacups. The line for Snow White seemed like it was 100 people deep. The wait was very, very long. The meet and greet after the Villians show..was chaotic to say the least. We didn't even try to photograph any it was just a free for all no lines. The only problem we encountered this trip were with CM. I had NEVER had any before but this time it was at Tony's on my b-day dinner night. The hostess who sat us took us to our table for 5, well we only had 4 as one party member couldn't get off work. The hostess we spoke to at check in said no problem. We were seated then the other hostess who sat us said "And one more is coming for 5". We said no. She replied " I wish you would have said something upfront". We said we would move to a smaller table no problem for us. The resturaunt was not even crowded at 5:30. She then grabbed up the table wear for the other person and said "Just stay here" we were shocked..then when she realized how she was being said "Enjoy your birthday dinner" and tapped me on the shoulder. all very sarcastic. We spoke to a manger she apologized. She said we will make it up to you., I said thats not necessary. I have eaten here several times before without problems. i just wanted you to know. So we ate our dinner no problems until the end. The waiter bring 4 dessert ice creams...free. YES very nice BUT my friend says to him (somewhat privately) I ordered a $48.00 Mickey cake for dessert. He says i will check. He goes and checks on it. And says it was his fault he didn't read his ticket and will go get it ready. that would take about 15-20 minutes. We said no...and could we talk again to the manager. he left came back and said. "There will be no charge for the desserts" the 4 ice cream cups and that the cake would not be on her bill. We thought How nice not to charge us for something we didn't get in the first place...LOL...or order (the 4 ice cream cups). If anyone has any questions please ask..we also ate at Donalds Safari Breakfast,1900 Park Fare (Dinner and breakfast), Chef Mickeys (dinner and Breakfast), Crystal Palace (Dinner and Breakfast).

Thanks for posting your review. Sounds like you saw a bunch of characters! Sorry that your special dinner was the one time CMs missed the mark. Happy belated birthday.

I forgot to add we also saw Lilo and Stitch at MK in Adventureland and at AK as well. If i remember any more characters i will post them as well. Also Photopass photographers were everywhere. I got over 120 pictures. And that is without trying very hard at all.

It's good to hear the photopass photographers were all over the place. I think they must have all been away on vacation the middle of May.

Imagine, "hey we aren't charging you for something you didn't want or get" yippeee.... We are eating there one night, I can't believe I have never eaten there before. I am looking forward to it, and have checked out the menus on allears. My mouth is already watering for their chicken parm...altho I may have to go with the steak. ....yummm HOw much was the pirate and pals cruise? |

Great I'm glad to hear this. It'll definitely make the photopass CD more worth it!

What was so bad about staying at a table for 5...if there were only 4 of you to begin with? Sounds like the whole thing could have been avoided.
