booked Poly LVCL but might change to CR MK view
I was hoping you CR veterans might tell me why you love the CR so much. I've been lurking on the CR FAQ and pics threads over the weekend and I have a few more questions before I make the switch.
This trip I really wanted to watch the fireworks from our room, and I wanted to have a balcony that we could sit on and enjoy the scenery. We spend a lot of time in our room and my DS loves to play on the balcony and watch what's going on below. We stayed at the Poly last time and had a garden view, but I was longing for a lagoon view. When the 4/3 deal came out, the only thing available besides GV was LVCL. I booked it, knowing it was still out of my price range but was going to scrimp and save until I got there. With that said, I feel like I am having to cut back on way too much and we probably won't even be using the CL that much, and to spend an extra $1400 just to have a lagoon view, I just can't do it. So right now, I'm flirting with either CR MK view, or downgrading my Poly ressie to GV again. I am a little weary of the parking lot below. How much do you really notice it? Do you have a nice view of the lagoon where you can see the boats coming and going, and hear any ferry sounds? Does the castle look closer in person than it does in the pictures? My next question is the Contempo Cafe. With all the people over at BLT, is it crazy busy to get your breakfast in the morning? I like to grab a quick croissant and juice on the go. And is the monorail more crowded now? And my last question is things to do around the resort. My DS loved to play in the sand at the Poly. Can the kids play on the beach at the CR? Are there any activities or special things you like about the CR? Thanks in advance for your help. I am really struggling with what to do so any advice you can offer to make my decision easier would be greatly appreciated. I like the serenity of the Poly, but I really would like to give the CR a try. TIA for your help! |

Honestly when you look at the Contemporary Magic Kingdom View in person you won't even notice the parking lot, because the view is amazing and you will want to keep looking at the Magic Kingdom.
Bay Lake Tower has not made the Contempo Cafe more crowded and when it comes to the Monorail it's not effected. In fact before Bay Lake Tower the old North Garden Wing had more total rooms then what Bay Lake Tower has. As for activties on specific nights they have movies on the beach and any other activties will be listed on a paper you will get at check-in.
