Apparently I am the one person in the world who doesn't love their iPhone! I got one today, and while the apps are cool, I'm not real impressed with the web browsing. Everything is SO tiny, and I have a hard time clicking on things, even after zooming in. The applications are great and really convenient, but I really don't need any of them.
Maybe I'm having buyer's remorse, and I think I can return it within 30 days, but should I give it some time to warm up to?

You aren't alone, my mom hates hers too. I keep telling her she can give it to me...
But, I'm kind of in the same boat. I don't need one, but we just had a baby and the instant photo/video upload feature would be cool to have. I have been debating getting one for a few months.

Last year when I went with AT&T, I bought one of their Smart phones. I HATED it! I ended up taking it back and getting a normal phone. It was too big and clunky, the Qwerty keyboard isn't something I used very often. I found myself using the regular keys on the phone much easier. Too much on the phone that I would never use. I'd rather save a ton of money every month.

Friend of mine has one too. He loves the phone but hates the spotty AT&T coverage in our area.

I have the ipod touch and I really love the apps on it. However, I hate the keyboard. my phone is a BlackBerry Curve and I love that keyboard. I find it easier to browse the internet on my phone as well. If I could get all the cool apple apps on my Curve, I would have the perfect phone.

I've had my iPhone for 2 years--I HATED it at first. It was a Christmas present (surprise) from DH so I didn't have the heart to return it b/c he was so proud of himself. Now, I cannot live without it! I have gotten used to the keyboard and can fly through texting. Isn't for everyone, but there is a learning curve.

I was ambivalent about the iPhone but now I am hooked! It is so much more than a phone----iPod, camera, personal organizer, book reader, game device, GPS/maps, etc. I think once you realize how much this little contraption can do, you will be a fan.

I just finally caved and got an iPhone two weeks ago and it has taken me some getting used to, but I find that when I am on the internet I have to turn the phone sideways. If I don't, the text is so small I can not read it with out zooming a lot. I also have found myself using my pinky finger to select things so I don't always need to zoom. At this point the only thing I do not like about the internet is Safari and Apple does not support anything that requires a Flash plugin. There are a lot of websites that use this and it does take away from the experience and makes the information hard to find and get to. One thing I do like is if I am putting in login and password info or fillng out a form, you can "tab" to the next field without needing to go back to the web page each time. |
