Harry Potter Opening - The DIS Discussion Forums

If Harry Potter opens in mid-May like it's supposed to, I'm anticipating being there for it. We'll be at Disney May 11-17. So what effect do you think this will have on crowds on Disney? Any at all?

I'm thinking since this will be the official opening.. I'm hoping a lot of people will want to be at Universal, so this will take people out of the Disney parks. Am I wrong in thinking this?

The opening date for WWOHP hasn't been announced. It is contractually obligated to open by June 30, 2010, and Universal is announcing "spring", but no date yet unless it was announced today.

I think Universal will see massive crowds just after WWOHP opens. Whether that actually affects Disney's crowds substantially remains to be seen.
