BLT We are here now, any ????????????????
My name is carli and I'm fifteen. Yesterday my family and I arrived at th Bay Lake Towers for our stay at Walt Disney World. When you get to the resort you check in inside the Contemporary Resort and make your way to your room crossing the sky bridge.
The room here at Bay Lakes is quite amazing. We are staying in a studio. There are four of us including my mom and dad and my sister who is 11. Although the room is a little small we really like it. Got to go. If you have ? I'll try to answer them all. Carli They are very modern with some orignial Disney mickeys as well. There are only two down sides to the studio room we are staying in. First of all, the room is much smaller than the studio rooms at other hotels. Secondly, the second bed you have to pull out from the couch. A smart move for the small room. After we were settled into our room we took a trip up to the Top of the World Lounge and viewing area. We went up around an hour early and very few people were there on our arrival. The lounge features a nar as well as sitting area and big screen tv. The viewing area wraps itself all the way around the lounge and speakers line the walls. The crowd that came up to watch the fireworks that evening was small yet I believe it is the best place to see the fireworks outside the park. Everybody had their camera out; myself included. |

Hi Carli! I hope you are having a great trip.
I will be staying in a 1BR at BLT in December (47 days!! )I'd like to be able to hook up my ipod to the tv to watch videos. Are there any external input plugs visible on the tv? (you know the red, yellow, and white ones?) Thanks, erica |

We actually watched Happy Hallow-wishes from the viewing area. It was fantastic and so much better than I remembered. Last night we saw Wishes from in the Maguc Kingdom. It took your breathe away and I believe tinker bell flying over was a very good affect. Having her be an actually person made it even better. We have a marina view on the sixthE floor right next to the elevator. It's a short walk and we can't hear it working at all.
Erica, there are external plugs here in the room. They also have a DVD player and a digital clock that also plays and charges your iPod/iPhone which I was very excited to discover! The tv is a little larger and very nice, but what I like is that you can turn it so you can have a nice view from anywhere. December must be amazing with Christmas around the corner! The pull out bed is nice, but I believe it's hard. You can't feel springs when you run your hand over it probably because the matress is so thick. It's comfy, but not half as good as the normal bed in the room. A pack n' play should fit in the room though it might be a tight fit. In our closet was a crib to use so there should be room for that. If you are pulling out the couch too the the pack n play might not fit in the actual living room but next to the restroom and door. I'd also like to add the the privacy of the bathroom is very little. The door actually slides open which is very cool looking. Yet it doesn't lock at all and a tiny slip is open on the side. Very annoying when you want privacy and that's all you get. -Carli Rae |

We will be a t BLT in 3 weeks. I have a few questions....
1. How long does it take to walk to the MK? 2. Does your room have a Pull out chair/bed as well as the Couch? If so, How comfortable is the pull out chair/bed. 3. Does the CR offer Bell service (to bring bags to the room ) to the BLT? 4. Have you been to the "Top of the World" If so, How crowded? Have you tried any of the food offereings? 5. How is the pool area at BLT? 6. Wait time for buses at CR? THANKS in advance.....It's nice to get first hand info !!

teenager questions
We leave in 2 weeks, BLT 1br villa with 2 teenagers
Some questions for you. How far a walk is it to MK? Can you walk back and forth during the day? How is the arcade in the CR? My son loves video games. Do you feel safe enough to go off on your own without your parents? Do they let you? How about at night? Is it hot enough to swim? Do water parks? Enjoy your stay. |

I'm not qute sure how long it takes to walk to the magic kingdom though I will find out. There is a pull out couch and a regular bed. The CR does bring up your bags and you also check in at the CR for your stay. I have been to the top of the world and viewing area. When we were there it wasn't very crowded like we ourselves thought it might be. When we were up there we didn't get and food or drinks so I'm not quite sure what they have though they do have a bar. The pool area is quite nice and definately has a modern look. They have a regular water slide and a tiny one as well as a hot tube and a water-fountain area for kids. The bus stop is the same as CR's yet you can walk to it from the tower. The bus comes about every 20 minutes.
The rooms themselves are very quite. Our room is right next to the elevator and we don't have any problems at all. Though the light parade on the water and the fireworks can get pretty loud. Expecially the water parade. You can walk to and from the magic kingdom and quite a few people go jogging in the morning if that's your kind of thing. The game room at the CR is the best I've seen. It's bigger than other hotels and has quite an array of games. We have spent time ourselves there. At bay lake towers and CR I do feel very safe andy parents do let me go certain places by myself. To get into Bay Lakes you need your room key to open the door as well as going up to the "top of the world". I haven't been out at night alone though tonight my family is staying at the magic kingdom until one am tonight which i am excited for. Lately it has been cold but there are still quite a few swimmers at the pool. I don't quite understand your question about the water parks, can you rephrase it please? Thanks |

Can non-DVC members who booked through Disney go to the Top of the World lounge? We aren't members but will be staying there in March.
Thanks for the info!

If you are staying at bay lake towers then yes, you can go up to the lounge. Yet if you are just staying at the CR then you cannot. How it works is that in the elevator you have to swipe your room card (if you are staying at bay lake towers) then the elevator will let you up to the sixteenth floor.
No problem! I'm happy to! |
