Getting ready to book 2nd cruise...have questions
Ok...we are HOOKED to cruising!! We loved it! We just got back from a 4 night cruise on the Wonder. I didn't plan anything on that cruise, wanting to just relax and see if we even liked cruising. I had booked a cabin near the aft and am not sure if I want the same area on the next cruise. It was great to just walk out the door and get on the elevator to go up to deck 9. I think we missed alot on this past cruise. It is just my hubby and I. We spent alot of our time in Diversions, which is one the opposite end of the ship. We didnt take advantage of the adult area, but did do the Vista Spa Tropical Rainforest once. If there a prefered place on the ship? Should we be looking at cabins closer to the bow or the middle? This will be either a 5 night cruise or a 7 night. Thanks!!

In our many cruises, we've been all over the ship, literally. We've been as far forward as you can go and one cabin short of as far aft as possible...and many in between. We've been from deck 2 to deck 7. I find something to like about every location. If I had to pick an all time favorite, I think it's 5 aft.
OK, aft--good location for restaurants. Safety drill in Animator's. Forward--good location for adult areas. 5 aft--very few cabins, no reason for people who don't "live" there to be walking thru guest areas. Quiet. Convenient to BV theatre and kid programming. No, there's not a "preferred" area other than traditionally the higher decks are more expensive. This is a hold over from when the lower decks were the lower class passengers. Mid ship will experience less motion than either end. |

Thank you very much. That was exactly what I wanted. I think we will try mid ship the next time and see how that is.
Thanks

You might try the other cruise lines also. Royal Caribbean and Carnival also cruise out of Port Canaveral. RC has the biggest ship going right now in the Freedom of the Seas and Carnival will be cruising the Dream, a brand new ship, in December. All three companies are unique and offer awesome cruises. I have been on all three and you would be surprised in the differences you experience with each. It is worth the try.
