Disney/Universal Combined Trip
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Christmas trip last week due to me being layed off in July.
Not all that bad, I found new employment in August, but couldnt come up with the final payment. The great news is yesterday we got another pin code with free dining that runs thru 6/10 and our DD is graduating and wants to do Disney. ![]() We are thinking of going 6/2 - 6/12 and doing 3 or 4 days at USO. Our first thought was a 7n/8d package with 7d PH pass + 3n room only. The USO tickets are good for 7d from 1st use. This way we can mix up our days if we want. My question is can we get a 10 night package (so we can take advantage of the free dining the whole trip), but only by the tickets for 7 days.

Yes, you can buy whatever number of days on tickets you would like. But do the math...usually it is not too much more to go from a 6 day to a 7 day (just an example) ticket. Have fun!

We have done combo trips many times and would like to make a suggestion- split the trip between Universal / Disney, for the days you plan to do Universal stay in the on site hotels, so you can take avantage of the express pass @ Universal / IOA, plus side, hotel rooms are less expensive at Universal so you will probably save a few bucks not booking the Disney hotel for a few days..

I would definitely stay on-site at US/IOA for the unlimited Express Pass. My kids loved it! We stayed at the Hard Rock and had a great time. My other suggestion is to do US/IOA at the end of the trip. Your children will hate standing in line at WDW after having the Express Pass option at US/IOA.

Staying onsite at Universal is great but if you choose not to it's fun to hop between Universal and WDW. I bypassed the hoppers last time and this is what we did. However we didn't stay onsite at either resort so it worked well for us. Well except for the parking rates but that's another issue.
As for the Loew's hotels being cheaper - not necessarily. It depends on where you stay at WDW and whether you can get a deal with Loew's. Good luck whatever you decide.
