Danger Danger

Look out for those Disney Strollers.....some guy rammed into my ankle and nearly took my foot off....it hurt so bad I limped for a long while....bad part was he quickly said sorry and preceded to shove me out of the way so he could go ahead of us....hmmmmmm not much magic there.
I have a big mark and it is still really sore...

We were pushing a stroller too but I am careful not to ram anyone....I know it happens but this guy was a jerk.

Unfortunately, rude people are everywhere...even WDW.

>>> Look out for those Disney strollers

No, no, instead look out for those some guys.

Here is where touring with a large group comes in handy, you can then detain the miscreants so that any damages may be made good.

This happened to a friend of mine not too long ago. We were leaving Fantasmic and she got rammed by a stroller so hard that her ankle bled. The guy that hit her didn't say a word...a hit and run.

In the park you have to be on your offense as well as your defense. Some people are so excited to get to the next ride with their stroller that they aren't watching out where they are going.

Nicely worded. Except you could take the word stroller out of your second sentence. "Some people are so excited to get to the next ride that they aren't watching where they are going."

It's much more difficult to not pay attention while pushing a stroller than it is to be a pure pedestrian whose not paying attention to where they are walking. Not paying attention is hardly the exclusive domain of stroller pushers. It goes both ways. Lots of folks will walk right into a stationary stroller - or worse - they will walk right OVER the stroller/child in a misguided attempt to cut around the stroller not caring that they might be endangering an infant/small child!

Many guests are not particularly good at accepting fault, and WDW is a crowded place. That's a bad mix.

I admit that I have run into people with my stroller when they are walking in front of me and stop dead in their tracks. Those people annoy me - you don't just stop right in the middle of the path, if you need to stop move to the side - I don't mind if I run into those people as it is not my fault they are stupid enough to stop walking in a busy walkway.

Boy your right about that....so many people just stop right in the middle of the road, that happened so many times and once in a store I am trying to get through with my stroller and I heard this lady behind me say "I'll show you how to get through a crowd....she then preceded to squeeze between me and a display dragging two kids behind her, she just plowed right through me....and kept going doing the same thing to others. I just like to see manners in people no matter where you are.

I know the stroller issue goes both ways....but that guy was just a jerk.

Maybe they need to improve the way the Disney stroller is made, other strollers don't hurt like they do...

we were walking down mainstreet just before parade time one evening last winter....it was stop and go, you just couldn't keep walking....I was hit in the heel by a stroller, I just turned around and smiled at the guy pushing it, just wanted to make sure he maybe would keep his distance, yet knowing this was a hard situation.....a few feet more, he did it again, then the third time.....this time the stroller ran up my heel. I was now angry, I turned around and held up three fingers and said, "ok, that's the third time now".....he just glared at me.....like, it was my fault....later I realized I had a blister on the side of my heel the size of a silver dollar....took forever for it to all heel!!!!!
That being said, I was also in a wheel chair one time in WDW with one leg elevated....it was a combination of people just ramming into the elevated leg or my "driver" not realizing where the end of my leg was all of the time, and yes, we did bump into a few people.
It's a tough place!.....been on both sides of it!!!! I quess, the attitude people have about it makes a lot of difference when it happens, but it is going to happen!

That happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Someone pushing one of the rented strollers hit the back of my heel and tore the skin in three places. I limped for a while also and put a big band-aid on it when I got back to the room. They hit me while we were walking and then didn't even say they were sorry, just kept going. I've been hit with people's strollers before, but it usually doesn't hurt too bad because it's open where the kids feet are and it just bumps you. You know you've been hit, when it's one of those rented strollers with the closed front made of hard plastic. It actually raised up on my heel and then scraped downward. That's why I know they knew they had hit me. OUCH!!!!!

funny thing someone one had a thread on scooters yesterday and I mentioned was those strollers. I understand accidents do happen but not to apologize and just storm off is a whole different ball game IMHO. It is call "I am sorry".

I was ran over by an EVC, TWICE!!!

I say watch out for anyone with wheels at Disney. It's a crowded place and no one likes to give up space.

I agree with the other posters. This goes both ways.

Here's an easy fix: everyone pay attention to what they are doing and where they are going and NO ONE STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A WALKWAY!!! And if you do run over someone/walk in front of someone, offer a sincere apology and don't do it again!

1) That is called "assured clear distance".
2) When pushing a stroller, one must ALWAYS be on the look-out.
3) That allows very little time for self-sightseeing.
4) Watching ahead is far more important.
5) People stop to look and wonder all the time, after all it is Disney.
