Mother-In-Law

My mother in law just decided she wanted to join us for a few nights of our 7 night 8 day stay at Disney. We were thinking of the CSR.

Can she stay in our room for a couple nights, or is the POR the only moderate where they will allow 5 people?

you would need to switch to POR for 5 in a moderate, or the Fort Wilderness Cabins, or the ASMusic family suites, you could also up grade to a deluxe, some of those allow for 5 in a room.

Also, assuming your 5 already includes 2 adults, you will have to pay the extra adult fee for her in whatever resort you decide on.

5 are allowed in most rooms if one person is under 3. However, in my opinion it would be a tight squeeze. We've done the POR trundle room before. I would suggest moving up to one of the family suites, a cabin, or a one bedroom at one of the DVC resorts that sleeps 5.

As others have said, you'd have to switch to a trundle room at POR, the family suites at the AS, a cabin, or a deluxe room that sleeps 5. If your MIL is only coming for a few nights and you can't get POR, your best option might just be to get your MIL her own rooom for the time that she is there. By the time you pay to upgrade your resort and pay the extra adult fee, it might actually be less expensive to just get 2 rooms for the time that she is there.
