Does the air conditioning go off in the middle of the night in any of the GF rooms?
We are from up north and sleep at night with it cool. During the winter I keep the heat on in the house at 63 degrees
and that's just because we have an 8 month old baby. We sleep with long sleeves. I know in other hotel rooms, even when we kept the a/c on, we would wake up and it would be hot. For over $400 a night I'm hoping they don't turn off the a/c. Does anyone know how to keep the room chilly? Linda

They do not shut off the ac but they do have a preset temp of 72. I do not know if GF has the same type of thermostat as CSR but here is how you can override CSR's thermostat.
On the thermostat, push the power button and the down arrow (button that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly, you will see the letters "bp" where the temp normally shows. You are now bypassing the sensors in the room. You can then set the temp to whatever you want and it keeps the room that cold whether you are in it or not. You might have to do this once a day as the thermostat tends to go back to sensor mode after 24 hours.

We stayed at the GF in May(great by the way)... there are sensors in the room's corner. We put my son's big Mickey balloon(with the weighted string) in front of the sensor. The balloon kept "moving" from the fan and that way the sensor consistently "sensed" movement and the A/C stayed on.

You can call maintenance and ask them to override the sensor for the duration of your stay. Hope you enjoy the GF!
