Question Is there ANY resort that does not share buses??

I could have sworn I read on here that deluxe resorts don't share buses. But I must be dreaming that b/c we just returned a few weeks ago from WL and yes, we had to share buses with either Ft. Wilderness or GF, depending on where we were going. What a drag! Just extra time to be sitting on the bus when you're really just wanting to get to the park.

Is there ANY resort on property that has direct bus service (no sharing)?

Thanks!

Deluxes I am not sure about; I do not believe the Pop shares (a value) and I know that the CBR and CSR (moderates) do not share--although both have internal stops within the resort -- the CBR has seven and the CSR has four.

It depends on what you mean by sharing. CBR, CSR have their own busses but there are several stops. AKL has their own but 2 stops. Pop has their own, I think there is only 1 stop. I'm not sure if the All Stars each have their own. YC and BC share. BW shares with Swan/Dolphin and sometimes YC/BC.

The Pop Century does NOT share busses with any other resort. YAY!
I won't even try the All Stars resorts because I know they share busses and I've seen the amount of people waiting to board at the parks..yikes!
I've also stayed at CBR and POR. POR shares with FQ, and CBR has multiple stops within the resort. But, it's not too bad.
Hope I've helped a bit!

The only Deluxe Resort that does not share with other Deluxe Resorts is the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

The Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge all have different sharing combinations that change everyday. Plus the Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan & Dolphin are the same when it comes to different combinations of their resorts sharing buses.

OKW and SSR do not share. These are all considered deluxe villa resorts.

Yellowstone was amazing and is a lot more inviting than Disney right now. Could we be selling it all in the near future? Maybe.

I wouldn't base a resort solely on the bus service. I have had times with great service at the YC/BC/BW, and AWFUL at Pop and AKL.I have also had Great at POP and AKL. The Bus transp. varies all the time.

Everyone looks at bus transportation as a static thing. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Pop does not share buses that's true. But on the resort lines that DO share, they actually have more buses in service to meet the increased demand. Of course, it doesn't seem like that when you see a long line at the bus stop at the end of the day in your favorite park.

But trust me.. it does work that way. In fact, Disney has a system where buses can be re-routed from lines that are NOT busy, to address situations like the above.

Personally, I stay at Pop most of the time cause it totally meets all the minimal requirements I have in a place to sleep and have breakfast. The bus service is variable.. just like at any resort...

Pop is the only resort that has one stop at the resort and then on to the park. Every other resort shares in some way or another. AllStars Sports and Music are on the same route, with Movies added in a lot of the time.
POR has 4 stops within the resort and usually shares with FQ. CBR and CSR all have multiple stops within the resort. OKW and SSR..same thing, mulitple stops within the resort itself. AKL used to have just the one stop but now that Kidani has been built, there are the two stops.
Most of the 'true' deluxes have direct access to a park or two, so their bus service tends to suffer....usually combine with other deluxe resorts in the area.

We were at POFQ in May, for 7 days - we went to the parks every day, back to the rooms in the afternoons, and out again later. We shared with POR only twice.

But they don't share which was the original question. Even AKL/AKV now stops twice at that resort - once at Jambo, once at Kidani (it's all one resort with two buildings).

I know sharing was the original question. However, the time to stop at all the OKW or SSR stops far exceeds the time required to stop at YC and BC...distance as well. Sharing at two monorail resorts is probably no more distance and certainly less time as there are fewer stops.

Whenever I see a post saying OKW and SSR do not share, I think it is misleading to anyone who is not aware that there are multiple stops within the resort. That's why I tried to clarify that.

Poly does share with the other monorail resorts, HOWEVER, you can easily walk to the TTC and catch a direct bus to the parks not on the monorail.

However there are no buses at the TTC which go to Downtown Disney, so that's one location where they don't have any buses.
