Boardwalk Villas preferred view or Beach Club Villas?

Help us decide which studio resort we should choose for our 10 night spring 2010 trip. What DVC resort would you choose and why? Include pros & cons. Points for both resorts are just about the same. Thank you!

Yellowstone was amazing and is a lot more inviting than Disney right now. Could we be selling it all in the near future? Maybe.

I have 2 opinions
We had tried usual things to keep them away, including something like coyote urine, it is sold in hardware stores by us

I don't know when your spring break trip is, mine is always the 3rd week in March, and so far, in the 4 years that I've done spring break at WDW, not necessarily the last 4 years, we've never had good consistent swimming weather. So, I base my vote for BWV on that, I go to BCV when I can enjoy SAB.

In fact, my 8 night trip in March '10 is a split stay. VWL with DSis and then BWV with DH! I'm thrilled. I picked VWL over BCV for instance because of the availablilty of FW to ride bikes around. I love to do that and from VWL it's so convenient. BWV because of the activities available and we just like BWV in March. When we go in March, it will be F&G time in Epcot, so at least a partial stay at an Epcot resort is a must for me!!!

BCV... Stormalong Bay is like a water park! You can only use it if you are staying at BCV.(pool hopping isn't an option for SAB) The short walk to EPCOT is great too.

I have to go with this. Have you called and are both even available? At this point it's well past the 7 month mark and you may not have a choice or be able to get either one.

BCV is our home. We love it. We love the proximity to International Gateway in Epcot. SAB is the best pool on property, we love the theme. We love the quiet of the location of the Villas
BWV is also very nice. It is a slightly longer walk to Epcot, but it is much closer to DHS. We do not like the pool as well, but it is okay. I think better views from your balcony. Also they are currently being refurbed and will have new appliances and flat screen TV's.
You can't go wrong with either, both are beautiful and centrally located.

We just got back from the BCV and for our 2007 trip we stayed at the BWV with a Boardwalk view. It really depends on age of kids and how much time your spending at the pool, SAB is so huge that hard to keep track of kids and I'm glad mine are stong swimmers so the few time that we lost them for a minute I wasn't completely freaked out.BWV has more going "on" at nite and the kids loved the little shows. Really the rooms, location and food choices are the same. If you plan of lots of pool time pick BCV, if not then I'd go with BWV.

We are staying at Boardwalk villas in January. We will have a car, but what other options are there for getting to Hollywood Studios. Is it just bus, or can you walk or is there a boat? Sorry, we have only stayed there years ago, and drove. But I thought I read somewhere that they made a pathway to walk. And since there is no more free valet, not sure I want to be moving the car around and trying to find a spot late at night when we are tired.

Thanks!

No bus to DHS from the BWV. Only boat or walk. About 15-20 minutes to walk over there depending on how fast you walk.

Its BWV's for me.
I have stayed at both and prefer the Boardwalk.
Some people mention the 'in house' restaurants as a reason to favor the BCV's and they may have a point, but I think they are just a far from the actual villas as the restaurants are on the Boardwalk. The Villas at the Beach Club at a good stroll from the restaurants and the SAB pool. Kinda makes you feel like the villas are an add on. Put it to you this way, the walk to EPCOT may feel closer than the walk to the Cape May. lol
Okay, then there is the pool. The BCV does have the BWV beat no if and or buts. So if pool time is your main decision factor then go with the BCV's.

We own at both locations but prefer BWV for the Boardwalk View.

Love them both though!
