Is there a moderate resort with the best food court?
The best food court of the moderates. Just curious.

Pepper Market at Coronado is pretty awesome. But really all WDW restaurants come down to your personal taste. I thought the quality and quantity of food at the Pepper Market was great.

Maybe Port Orleans Riverside
Riverside Mill at POR is very good. Diverse selection including pick your own pastas. Large portion size. We found the staff to be helpful. See recent reveiw on this site.

We've eaten at all of them and I'd go with POR.

Agree with Kim1964...I've tried all of them, and POR is the best.

Overall POR is probably better, never tried Coronado Springs and I do read that many people love it there. BUT, POFQ has the best dinner selection, IMO. They have pot roast, smothered pork chops, BBQ ribs, and fried chicken. We usually go to POFQ once a trip just for the dinner. These selections use to be at POR, but they were changed over to POFQ a couple of years ago. It's a good deal for counter service.

I used to love the PM at CSR but found it had gone downhill this past Aug trip...I loved that it had such a wide selection of food choices but several of their food stations have been taken away. POR has a very nice food court with make your own pasta and salad stations. POFQ's food court is very small with not much selection and I haven't eaten at CBR so I can't comment.

The Pepper Market isn't set up the same, and is not really a true Disney food court. You are shown to a table, your drink order taken, and then you go to the food stations to get what you want. And they expect a tip.
Out of the 3 Moderates I have stayed at (CSR, POR, POFQ) I think POR has the best food court. There is a great build your own pasta station, and the magic bars are out of this world! |

Just back from CBR and we did not look their food court. Limited choices for everything. We usually stay at pop and we think they have an awesome food court that clearly explains what all of your choices are.

I have not noticed anything like that. Not that I go there often. So that is possible. I just have not heard or seen that myself.I will not say their food is great by any means. But it has a good selection. The service is always very iffy at the Mexico station. And is always consistently sub. Have no idea why. They seem not to like customers, and only at that station. ![]() CSR's walk up food selection (grab and go) has really good quiches. I have had not had one in awhile. Hopefully they still have them. They are yummy.POR food court taught me important food court lessons: 1) Food is much fresher when they are busy. If the food court has no customers, pass, as the food can make you sick. literally ![]() 2) If you wonder about something -- just return it. Do not even take a small bite. ![]() (And haven't been back since and that was 5 years ago. )

I just wrote on another thread that we're basically thinking about picking a resort based on the food court. When we stay at Disney, we eat heavily at the food court so we want to at least have a really good one on property. That's what I'm trying to decide. Our moderate resort option is still very much negotiable.
We may even go for a value with a good food court, but we love the moderates. |

The pasta and Asian stations are gone. The decent steak has been replaced with a lower quality steak. The better items are now only available after 4PM. the chicken quesada no longer seems to have any chicken. You can no longer get an espresso as your CS drink. The staff, that expects a tip, was extremely rude. They had better things to do then get you your drink. You had to get it yourself. Not a problem, but that is not how it works at this location so don't expect a tip. They would not even answer simple questions without attitude. If I find the same thing when I am there I will be making the general manager of the hotel's day unpleasant. BTW, my family members found the food and service at all stars to be very good. |

POR has the best IMO
CBR/POFQ are so-so. Pepper Market at CSR has lots of variety but if your not on the dining plan can be pricey. Although the food was pretty good. |
