Sea World or a WDW park less crowded on Thanksgiving Day?

I posted this on the Sea World board, but I dont think too many people are on that one. We are looking to be at WDW during the week of Thanksgiving next year and we also want to take the kids to Sea World one day. I was wondering if SW would be less crowded on Thanksgiving Day or one of the WDW parks would be better. Anyone have any experiences with this? Thanks

I have experience with neither however we were talking to a CM that had been there for 32 years. She said Thanksgiving MORNING was one of the best times to visit the parks but the afternoons were crazy.

When we went to SW it didn't take the whole day so you might consider hitting the Disney parks in the morning and then shifting over to SW....?

We'll be in Orlando during Presidents week/Mardi Gras, so another busy week. I've decided we'll go to Sea World on the actual Presidents Day holiday (Monday) for a full day and then go back for another half day to catch anything we missed (since 2nd day is free).

Since most of SW is shows, as long as we arrive to each show early, we'll get a seat so crowds won't bother us as much as if we had to stand in line for rides. We'll do 1 or 2 rides at rope drop and then focus on shows. On the 1/2 day we'll ride any rides we don't get to the first day and visit the exhibits (which I'm guessing will be crowded on the Monday). If we plan to eat at an off time, hopefully food lines won't be a problem.

I disagree that SW is only a half-day park. You really have a tough time fitting in all of the shows in a full day unless the park is open late.

So, that's my plan for now, but I can't tell you how welll it will work!

We've always had problems seeing everything at Sea World in a day too. I need that touring plan!

I think that going to Sea World on a crowded day is a great idea. Maybe ride the few rides first thing and plan on shows while it's really crowded? We experienced a very quiet Epcot Thanksgiving morning one year but it really got crowded later on. If all the parks work that way I can see how Sea World would work well.

Sea World is great on Thanksgiving Day. We were there last year. If you decide to go and thet Polar Express attraction is being held again, I highly recommend it.

I would go to seaworld. I was there in May and we did the whole park in one day...including the roller coasters, feeding the dolphins, etc. It was awesome. We saw every show too! The second day we went back and re-rode the rides and also went to see shamu again and sit in the soak zone

If you go....you have got to try the new roller coaster Manta. It was awesome
