How long is the walk around Epcot World Showcase

We have a day set aside for Epcot World Showcase and are planning ADR at Akershus but would love to tour around the World some but we will have a 2 year old and two 6 yr olds plus a dh who is only in it for the "drinking around the world" part

Any idea how long it is to walk from Mexico to Italy? We will probably only do halfway around but wanted to know the length/time it usually takes to do it.

I think it all depends on how fast you want to walk and how many things you want to see on the way. I would suggest that, rather than start at Mexico, walk to Italy and then backtrack, you just start at Canada and walk around .. keep checking the time before your ADR so you know if you have time to stop at other things.

WS is one of my favorite parts of Disney, and I've realized I enjoy ALL of it, even countries that I never thought I'd have an interest in.

I believe it is something like a mile all the way around. If you walk fast you can go all the way around in about 20 minutes.

Awesome, that shouldn't be too bad than and I think the kids would really enjoy it. I really want to see all of WS, I have never been to other Countries besides Mexico so I really want to appreciate it all.

Has anyone gotten a Steiff make your own doll at Der Teddybar? My dd is really into American Girl and I thought it would be a fantastic Bday present to have a doll made for her.

Be sure to check out the boat ride in the Mexico Pavillion, Maelstrom in Norway, the American Adventure (good place to beat the heat for about 45 min), and O Canada!

I think it's about 1.3 miles from end to end. Keep in mind it's a mile to get back to the area from the front gate as well. Walking around the countries is more.
EPCOT is A LOT of walking. It is double the size of MK.
I read that the average day at EPCOT involves about 16 miles of walking.
There is a reason why they call it Every Person Comes Out Tired
or Every Parent Carries One Toddler.

There are Kidcot stations around the showcase for the kids to make masks/color.
There is also the kim possible mission game that the kids can play around the countries to have some fun.

At a brisk pace (not brisk by gym standards but brisk for Disney! ), it's definitely about at least a 20 minute walk from Mexico to the UK. It can be hard to walk even at that pace in medium crowds, as any faster and you'll inevitably be plowing into folks!

On my *****covered Epcot tour, we were told it's a mile from the gate to the WS, and a mile and a half around the lagoon. As others have alluded to, there's so much to see and do, if you just walk around the lagoon you're not getting much out of it...there are nooks and crannies, shops, food and attractions in every country which would probably put you much closer to 2-2.5+ miles and more than a couple hours to even just skim the surface on a couple countries. Between the Voices of Liberty, the American Adventure and a bathroom break, you're already at most of an hour, just at the American pavillion.

We have walked it, without stopping, in 20-25 minutes.

By our measure with several calibrated pedometers, the walk around is 1.2 miles....of course that can vary depending on your "adventures"

By my calculations, it's about 6 drinks, 4 bathroom breaks, 1 ice cream stop, 3 souvenier purchases, and 17 "Can we go to the hotel pool now?" requests.

Enjoy!

I've speed walked it (looking for missing party members) in 15 minutes! But seriously, it's one of those things that is so dependent on how much you do. I love it, so I'd recommend giving yourself half a day at least, to sort of wander. It's a place to be explored, not commando-ed, IMHO. If your kids are bored, do the Kidcot stops. My nephews LOVE those. Stop, look, nibble, drink, eat, enjoy.

I like to run a lot and I use a website called mapmyrun.com to keep track of my mileage. I used their site to check the mileage and it looks like its 1.02 miles around the World Showcase.

For what it's worth...
