Snow is Bubbles?

According to another post, the snow on Main Street for the MVMCP is bubbles? I just assumed it would kind of look like snow flakes. I guess that is ok...we are from Central NY so we see enough of the stuff But I am glad to find out before we go that it is bubbles.

We were there at Christmas in 05 and it wasn't bubbles, but it wasn't snow, either. I don't know that we ever determined exactly what it was. Maybe some sort of powdered soap so they could just wash the streets clean before the next morning?

The wife and I were at MVMCP last Dec, and the snow was most definitely seemed like SNOW, and not bubbles.

Being from CT, I see enough of it also, but it was awesome to see it coming down on Main St USA.

We'll be back there next month, and I've already bought my tix for the X-mas party on Nov 10.

I just wish Space Mountain was open during our stay this year...

Oh well!

Yes, the "snow" is bubbles. BUT, it isn't big Lawrence Welk bubbles, it is teensy soapsudsy-foamy bubbles. As in, if you don't look at it closeup, it looks like white, drifting bits- not bubble wand bubbles.

We thought it looked pretty good, as fake snow goes. Just don't have the kids try to catch it on their tongues- it tastes gross.

If it's like at HS, it's soap flakes. It looks great when it's falling.

my son did try to catch it on his tongue on our trip last year......needless to say I will never have to worry, if I threatened to wash his mouth out with soap he would run!

i believe I was the one that said it was bubbles, or the last time I was ther eit was bubbles.

granted, not your kids wand type bubbles, but if you catch it on your tongue (i did) you will not do it again, and you would aim for the hot cocoa get the taste out... :D

When we were there in December 2007, both at MK and HS, it was foam-level bubbles which clump together to produce "snow" of various sizes.

reportedly this is the company that provides the machines/fluid for disney and other theme parks:

http://www.snowmasters.com/faq.htm

according to them, however, the snow has no odor/taste. i'd probably agree on the odor, but i'd say it definitely has a flavor to it. and beverly takes infinitely better.

It's not bubbles. It is the ashes of loved ones that are illegally spread near the Haunted Mansion throughout the year. Disney gathers up all of these ashes for the first ten months of every year. They then have enough to make it snow on Main Street for the holidays. It's so festive, and environmentally friendly.
