Do any girls wear their princess dresses on the cruise?

My DD wants to bring 2 princess dresses on the cruise. They take up a lot of suitcase room so if I let her bring them, I want to make sure she will wear them. (We will be on the 4 day.)

They certainly do! I'd bring at least one. If you have room for both, bring both. They'd make for some beautiful pictures with the Disney Princesses!

Absolutely! I only packed 2 last time & this time I'm bringing 3 for DD7. And I'm determined to bring less luggage this time. We'll just have to see how that works

Absolutely. Some wear them every night or to every princess event. Since most are net...they can be shoved in space bags or basically crushed in suitcases and freshen up nicely in a steamy bathroom!

Thanks for the feedback. In that case, we'll squeeze them in there!

Since mine our all grown up, I love seeing the little girls in their princess dresses!!!

I'm actually surprised they haven't come up with a Bibbitty boutique for the ship!

on our last cruise, on formal night I wore a strapless ivory colored gown and had my blonde hair in an updo of sorts with a wide ivory satin ribbon around it. a little bitty girl came up to me from behind, tugged on my full skirt and said, "Cinderella?" It was charming and, yes, even grown women can wear their versions of princess gowns (even if it was a leftover bridesmaids gown...)

to note: DD was MORTIFIED to be standing next to a mother in a gown

Now there's a suggestion for the new ships! Captive audience, tons of photo opps, what could be better. Oh well, guess I'll have to keep doing my princess' hair and nails!

Try using space saver travel bags to pack the dresses in. It works very well and gives more room in your suitcase. Have a super time

My daughter wore her Cinderella dress when we met the Princesses. We have a cute pic of Cinderella and my DD comparing dresses! We also had several other dresses that I didn't even have time to put on her on our 4 day. We were in our swim suits a lot and I didn't want her to wreck it at dinner. (Those dresses are expensive lol!) We recently found some clear Cinderella slippers that light up on the disneyoutlet site and she is going to wear those with her dress on the 3 day.

You can buy them on the ship but get ready to shell out the dough! The disney site has some costumes on sale now of the Princesses and even the major chains like KMART and Walmart have the dresses cheap now because of Halloween.

There was a little girl on our last cruise that wore a dress for each princess and some non-princesses (Alice, Tink, Pocohontas). We counted and she had at least 9 different costumes all complete with the accessories (tiara, shoes, gloves, wand, purse, etc.). She was adorable but the mother was changing her mid-day at times depending on the character greetings. I'm sure she got fabulous pictures. We actually ended up sitting next to them at CC and I commented on how cute she was. She said that because she was small (around 3) the costumes only took up one suitcase and her twin brother was able to have his clothes in the same case. The poor little guy had no costumes but he didn't seem to care.

So go ahead and dress up your DD. She will hardly be alone.

And yes, the cheap part of me was going (dang, how much did that woman spend on costumes??)!!

I won't tell you how many costumes we have, lol.

Definitely bring it. If you don't, you'll end up buying one. Maybe even one you already have. For example. In theory. Just saying.
