Snow White DVD release on Nov 24th vs yesterday's BR/DVD release vs 2001 release... - The DIS Discussion Forums

I ordered the BR with DVD combo pack from Amazon but didn't realize the bonus material is on BR. Don't have a BR yet!! Anywho... They're releasing a 2 disk DVD set on Nov 24th but it doesn't appear to be a platinum edition. When it was released in 2001, it was a platinum edition. I'm wondering if the DVD on the BR set (and the one releasing on Nov 24th) is a new remaster or just a re-release of the DVD from the 2001 version.

Anyone know what the heck I'm talkin' about?

It appears this is a new remaster and not a recycling of the 2001 edition.

Someone on the disneyland forum mentioned this...sounds really rotten of them to put the good stuff on blu-ray instead of on BOTH. No, you can't have the interactive stuff on the DVD but you can have the same other special features.

Seems like they've taken what Lucas does with his movies (release one at a time, 3 at a time, special ones one at a time, oh now another special edition, etc etc) and made it far far worse.
