How frustrating!
I had the same issue and downloaded the latest firmware (not software), and it worked after that. I checked my manufacturer's website (Samsung) to be sure it was the latest version available, and it was.
Definitely call tomorrow, it should have worked as long as your player is up-to-date on all its downloads.
By the way the movie looks great on Blu Ray!!!

Unhappy Snow White not working on Sharp BD player

I too have a sharp BD player. I upgraded the firmware to the latest file they had for the bd-hp21. The release date is : 10/05/09, file name HP50_119.RVP, and it upgraded my player to the PN9062300 version.
The disk will play the previews, but hangs on a black screen when you are at the top menu.

I am starting to suspect that the issue is with sharp's firmware.

Just got off the phone with a Sharp tech. He thinks Disney changed the encryption on the Snow White blu ray discs but Sharp did not program a key to unlock that into their latest firmware update. He did not know when a patch would be available.
