celebrities in WDW! - The DIS Discussion Forums

we just got home last nite and had a great time! few disappointments, but we had many GREAT times!

1st nite we went to food and wine fest (monday 9/28) and saw joey fatone from nysnc walking around with his family. said hi. think he was surprised that i said hi and walked away. nobody else recognized him around me.

4th day we were eating dinner at toyoko dining. sitting right in front, over looking the water, people watching as people climbed the side stairs. this family was coming up and i was thinking wow that guy looks familiar. it was michael...PAULA DEEN's husband! she was right in front of him with her son jamie and his little boy.

OMG! huge fan of hers. they evidently went to the other side of the restaurant. after we finished eating, we went to the bathroom...which is allllllllll the way in the back. hubby was waiting for us and said jamie should be coming out of the bathroom.

he was watching for me when i went to the bathroom. we took a pic. then comes paula and she was pretty disguised, but hey...i knew it was her! she was happy to take a pic too with me, then my mom. we were so giddy and giggly!

5th day - buzz lightyear and buzz auldrin at the MK parade. amazing!

i've never seen that many celebrities, no wait, never seen any celeb's at WDW ever.

i'll do a trip report when my little one finally goes to sleep.

I love Paula!! That would have been great to see her. She seems so down to earth and funny.

Awesome! We were at Epcot that Monday night too...would have loved to run into Joey Fatone!

Who knows...maybe I walked right past him and didn't even notice! Cool about Paula Deen too! If that was Thursday, we were at Epcot that night too! I think I'll have to keep my eyes open better next time we go.

I love seeing celebs out...last year we were down there in Dec. and saw Kelly from Live with Regis and Kelly and her husband and kids. They were being snuck in the back entrance on Buzz lightyear. We also ran into Neil Patrick Harris, at Epcot he was shopping in one of the stores and my son really walked into him. He was just by himself walking around. Well that's all i got!

I saw him at the airport when I was flying out in June. His parents live in my town and live directly behind where my wife takes piano lessons. We always had to pass by their name to be let into the sub-division.

I saw Steve Tyler in MK walking down the middle of Main Street.
And, I saw the girl that plays Raven's best friend ( I don't know her name). She was eating a burger at Pecos Bills. I didn't speak to either of them because i'm soooooo shy.

my hubby isn't home yet from work and every day we downloaded the pic's on his laptop. i'm itching to get them!

i wrote up a trip report and i'm waiting to post that until i get the rest of the pictures for that too!

summersalt, the girl you saw at Pecos Bills was Anneliese van der Pol. She played 'Chelsea". She was also the last Broadway Belle. If I had seen her, I would have waved to her and said "Hi Chelsea".

I saw former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, surrounded by secret service, at the end of December/start of January this year.

No celeb sitings at WDW, but plenty near my house!

I've seen Michael twice around town, Paula in her big black SUV, Jamie with his family, and Bobby- all of them at the Publix near my house at different times. It's quite a shock to walk past someone famous in your grocery store!

We saw Payton Manning and his family at Animal Kingdom several years ago. Really cool running into famous people. Just shows how everyone loves WDW...even when they could go anywhere, they choose the World.

We just got home last night, but on Sat night 10/3 we were sitting on the curb of mainstreet waiting for wishes and we saw Paula Deen and Michael walking in the crowd of people exiting the park. I turned to my husband and said thats Paula Deen,omg, thats Paula Deen!! (also a fan of hers) so my redneck but lovable husband yells out PAULA DEEN!!!! LOUDLY! She smiled.

Wow! I love the Food Network so I'd have loved to see Paula, Bobby and Jamie, and especially Michael! He seems like such a nice man!

I saw Joey Fatone at the P&P Party in 2007. He was standing right behind my sister and me during the Parade. I used to be a great Nsync fan more than 10 years ago, but back then, most girls wanted to like only Nsync or Backstreet Boys, not both, so BSB became my only favorite, even to this day.

I rode on Pirates with John Stevens from American Idol season 3. He was in the seat directly behind me. I wanted to say something so much but I guess I was a bit timid. Next time I see someone cool, I'll have mustered up the courage to exchange a polite greeting and a few words.
