Any great suggestions for an Engagement Celebration trip? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Putting this out to my creative DIS friends. . . DH and I are taking DD and her DF(iance) in Dec along with his (newbie)mom and dad. They are getting married next May and I thought it would be fun to get them the "engaged" buttons and try to think of some fun things to do to mark the occasion. Special ears? but can't do Bride and Groom yet. Special cake? but the fanciest dinner we're doing is LeCellier and Epcot is not known for their cakes. So besides things like the fireworks cruises (we only have four days and DF wants mom and dad to do/see as many attractions as possible - he has wanted to take his mom to WDW since the first time we took him - he even said no to Candlelight Proc (one of my favs) as he said it would take too much 'ride' time away) - so time-sucking things are out

- I'm letting him have control - practicing to be a good m-in-law

. So does anyone have any suggestions for me? TIA !!

How about a carriage ride? I believe there are a couple to choose from and it sounds (I haven't tried this yet but will in Dec) like a nice way to top off a day at one of the parks. We are leaning towards the one through Wilderness lodge. There is also one through POR if that is easier depending on where you are staying. Good luck with planning the trip and wedding of course!!
