I don't think that is a tipping event

The last word that we have is that they do not accept tips at the dessert party. The first poster who confirmed this for us is quoted in the FAQ in the first post, however, I have also read since then that it's not tipped.

I read through most of the thread and don't think this has been asked... Since the CRT price includes gratuity, how does the TIW discount work?

Thanks!
Jaime

Like any other TiW purchase: tip is calculated on the full bill, then the discount for the food is deducted, then the tax is calculated on the final food bill.

Question Not on dining plan

I have a possibly dumb question - hope I am allowed to ask it here?

I do not purchase the DDP when I visit WDW.

The past two times I have eaten at a TS restaurant, the 18% gratuity has been added to my check (the first time there was a party of five; the second time it was a party of one).

The above picture is a portion of my most recent receipt at a TS restaurant. I just wanted to confirm that since the tip was included in my total amount, I do not have to write in an additional tip on the receipt unless I choose to do so? By having the tip automatically added, I am still "leaving" a tip, right?

It just feels strange not writing in a tip at the bottom - just wanted to make sure I was doing this right, since I plan on visiting more TS restaurants in the future.

Do you have TIW? They do automatically add the grats with that discount card?

I don't have TIW. I wonder if this is something they do for Guests not on the DDP?

They give you a suggested amount but don't automatically add the tip.

No-they don't add grats for those not on the DDP...but they do for TIW and other discount programs for dining. Not sure why it would be added to yours??

No, although they do include the gratuity at some restaurants - CRT is one of them. Where were you eating?

I was at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater (and Boma for the one prior to that).

Hmm....would being a cast member matter? I received cast member discounts on those meals.
