Character dining - which breakfast best?

I'm taking my first solo trip to DWD in December (have been several times in the past with family members).

I would like to enjoy a character breakfast on my last day of the trip and was wondering which one everyone favors and why? Personally, I like all the characters but I have a 19-month old grandson who loves the Clubhouse characters, Disney Junior characters and Pooh.

I thought about The Crystal Palace because of the Pooh cast. How is their food?

Thanks in advance for any advise/suggestions.

We love CP breakfast, especially when we get a pre-park open. Lots of great food, and excellent character interaction!

I would say Crystal Palace from personal experience. The buffet is good...I enjoyed Pooh's puffed toast and the breakfast lasagna. And it's the only place where you can meet Eeyore and Piglet!

Cape May is our favorite for breakfast. The buffet is great with alot of variety, the atmosphere is nice, and the characters are cute as they are dressed in beach wear.

I'd say CP for that age. Or H&V with the Disney Jr. But if your asking which is better for food...CP.

Thank all of your for your input, I greatly appreciate it!

I'm hoping I can get a CM to take my picture with the characters since I'll be solo. The best I remember for my previous travels (always with someone else) CM are wonderful about taking pictures for guest.

You've got two good options.

The breakfast at CP, while pricey, is great and fits perfectly with his interest in Pooh and friends. The character interaction is great and the food is really good as well. However, it can definitely get loud, so if he's bothered by a lot of noise and activity (as many his age are), this might not be the ideal fit, but if he's fine with that, CP is great. In fact, try to get an early morning ADR (like 8am) on a non-AMEMH day. Show up to the park at 7:45 (they'll let you in around 7:50 or so), take some pictures on Main Street, and head over to your breakfast. Hopefully, you'll find by 9am to make rope drop and hit some attractions with short waits!

Another option is the Disney Junior Play & Dine at Hollywood & Vine. Character interaction and food here are very good as well. While the selection is certainly smaller than CP's, it's not bad at all. The atmosphere is fun, and if he enjoys Disney Junior, this might be the perfect meal for him. With that in mind, these characters are readily accessible in DHS between the DJ show and the various character greetings around DHS, while the group of characters CP offers is less easy to get autographs and photos with.

To be honest, if you can afford both, I'd try them both as they both seem to fit your grandson's interests. CP runs roughly $24 to $28 for adults and $13 to $15 for kids. H&V is a bit pricier (which doesn't make sense if you ask me) at $26 to $30 per adult and $14 to $17 per child. If you have to choose one, go with CP.
