Inexpensive vow renewal ceremony? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi all! After our last trip to WDW my got all riled up about us having our vows renewed at the World. We would need to pay for our family of four plus her mom and (maybe) my mom to fly down plus we may need to subsidize the trip for a friend or two... I'm already around the $5k mark with just the trip...

If we have a friend officiate and just want to reserve the ceremony area... is that possible? How much would it cost?

We would really like to do it at Sunrise Point. No need for flowers, entertainment, etc. ... just a short reaffirmation of our love and then a nice Grand Gathering dinner for those who joined us... how inexpensive could we get with that scenario?

The cheapest Disney offers is an Escape package. It's a location, cake, some floral, photography and a few others things. The cost is $4750 for Sunset Pointe for 2010.

The escape is the least expensive route to go, which is currently $4500. Sunset point does have a limit of 10 people including the bride and groom, but it is a beautiful location.
