My DS13 is a Donald Duck fan. So we were planning on going to Donald's breakfast at Animal Kingdom. But I have noticed that Cape May Character Breakfast has Donald as well. And we are staying at CBR this will be our first time at CBR. We haven't eaten at either of the restaurants. I've looked at the menus on allears, pretty much the same. So whick experience with Donald is better. Love to hear insight from those that have eaten at either or both of these.

We have only eaten at Cape May Cafe. We ate there the last two years and it is our second favorite "character" buffet (our favorite buffet is Crystal Palace and Boma is our second; but being Boma does not have characters Cape May is #2 "with characters."). Donald was not there as of yet...it was still Chip & Dale (Donald came about two weeks after our visit). We found the food to be very, very good (better than Chef Mickey's) and the character interaction was terrific. The characters spent a lot of time at the tables and we saw them at tables with kids drawing on the paper table cloth with the kids.

I would say the characters are a bit more playful at Cape May. I think as it's not such a large venue as TH, they don't get quite as rushed. However I do enjoy the food at Tusker House more. I like being in one of the parks for breakfast before opening as it gives you a bit of a head start. I'm not sure if coming over to Beach Club from CBR would be a bit of a hassle in the morning or not.

Donalds Breakfast Safari at Tusker House is
Wonderful. So much Fun. The food was very good and the Charactor interaction was good. Loved the atmospher. Eating at DBS is conventant on an AK day. Sorry can't compare to the Cape May because we've never been. |

Cape May was my favorite character breakfast until we ate at Donald's Tusker House breakfast this year
. I still like Cape May and would eat there again, but I think there's more variety at TH. We had an 8:15 seating on a day that AK opened at 9, and that was perfect for us. We finished up just as the park opened.I would eat at either place. If I can get another early ADR on our AK day, I'll book that meal. If the family votes to have breakfast at Cape May on one of our non-park days, I'll happily book that one. I really don't think you can go wrong with either one. |

We loved the Tusker House breakfast and the interaction. The food was great and the fact that you can move from cart to cart was great as my grandson is picky and saved us time in line. He loved the wake up the sun celabration. The only problem he had was that Goofy was 6" taller than his 6'4" grandpa and sort of intimidated him. Other than that we loved it. And walking out to the safari was fantasic.

We have always had pleasant character interactions at all the places we have eaten in WDW...
Donalds at Tusker House though, we at breakfast there twice and the kids loved that in the middle of everthing they all got up and were handed maracas to dance with the characters in the middle of the restaraunt. Mickey took my daughters hand and danced with her ......... I have it on video and she watches it to this day with a big grin... ..its the little things....

I have dined at both and Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tuskerhouse is my preference between the two. We were not impressed with Cape May Cafe at all.
The food choices at Cape May were limited, the character interaction was terrible and the service was not good - even for a buffet. Each of our visits to Tusker House have been wonderful.
