One of my 9th grade teachers (I missed that year and didn't have her thankfully) was arrested yesterday for growing 16 marijuana plants and making homemade rice krispy treats laced with marijuana in her home. Apparently, she was intending to give the rice krispy treats away at school. (This is just a rumor but I wouldn't doubt it from her.

)

She always did seem a bit off but I never thought she'd go this far.

Whoa. At first when I saw the title I only say the "One of my teachers" part so I tried to think of what the second part was so I guessed it was "got arrested" and look I'm right :]

Anyways, that's terrible! Teachers are supposed to be good role models. It's sad to think that some people do that kind of stuff.

one of my ex-teachers was arrested for dealing marijuana, cocaine, heroin, meth, and oxycontin along with weapons.

Teachers these days just aren't what they used to be.

How old is your teacher?
Honestly, I don't think it's a big deal if a teacher smokes pot as long as they keep it outside of school. I really, really hope that was just a rumor about giving the rice krispy treats to kids though. That's what is really sad.

She's 38, married, no kids. Some of the rice krispies were individually wrapped, and some weren't. Regardless, there were enought to fill up a large Rubbermaid storage bin. She's also an assistant-director for the school play so that makes it a bit suspicious.

That's so crazy. It's sad that kids have to be suspicious of teachers now though.

I had an english teacher that was arrested for child porn. Yeah, it was awful but I wasnt at all surprised. She (yes a she no less!) was always a little bizarre.

Wow. That's pretty bad.

OT: Just this week some kid that's in band at the school I go to got arrested during class, I'm not sure why, but I heard that it happened from several people. People can be pretty weird.

if she smokes weed, it's not a good thing, but at least she is keeping it to herself.

One of our newest teachers got arrested after class last year. She made death threats to her colleagues and brought a gun on school grounds. She'd been working there a month!

Apparently, its was afterschool "enough" that some of the kids saw the cops entering the school to go get her. I didn't have her and I wasn't at school that day, but from what I heard it was karma well deserved.

Don't schools do background checks on their teachers every year? I just don't understand why things like drugs and kiddie porn keep going on in teaching professions and no one notices.

It seemed as though my school district was slow on stuff like that! The PTO loved this teacher and it felt as though, she was the best thing ever.

Wellll.....a janitor was cleaning her room and she hadn't shut down the computer and thats how she got caught.

Needless to say the community was shocked.

I don't have a problem with her growing marijuana, or making special rice crispies, but planning to give them to her students is so far beyond wrong. Hopefully that IS just a rumor.
