more DDP questions
We have the 1TS, 1CS, 1 snack per night plan - we'll be there for 6 nights and really 8 days since we arrive early in the day and depart later at night. We have 6 TS ADRs made for the major meals. I'm wondering how easy using the CS credits is? Do we just order what we want and assume meals will take 1 credit?, or do we have to explain how we want things "charged" when ordering? Are drinks included or should we get the refillable mugs? What are some good things to use the snack credits on? I read that some people save the snack credits and use them to get stuff for the flight home. Are there plenty of CS places in each park or should I plan ahead where we want to eat for CS each day/park?

Do not use your snack credits for water in my opinion. I see tons of people doing this. Have a case delivered to your room if you want but don't waste snack credits on that. We used the snack credits for ice cream, candy at Goofy's candy or fruit salad. When I make my 4x6 cards for each day I note where we may want to eat for CS and what I may think that we may like and also where to get snacks that offer the most "bang" for your credits. Some CS places are better than others so it is helpful to put some thought into it before you go. Hope this helps some!

Using the Dining Plan is very easy. We usually got a CS breakfast each morning from our resort that comes with 2 drinks for adults and Character Dining for Dinner.
I bought a refillable mug but barely used it because of all the breakfast drinks. At the parks, I used a snack credit for a bottled water and just filled it up with water at any of the soda stands at any restaurant. I don't know why people keep getting water over and over. (Call me cheap..whatever) I ended up having so many snack credits at the end, I went to downtown Disney's Goofy Candy and got the following: Princess Cupcake Piece of Fudge Mickey rice krispies treat Frozen Lemondae and at a small snack stand I got 2 orders of glazed pecans.....YUM! Dining plan is amazing! It was soooooo easy. I think you will love it! |

The DDP is not nearly as complicated as people think and if you use it well, you can get a great deal out of it!
CS Breakfast comes with 2 drinks or one drink and a dessert...we usually got a bottle of water as one of our drinks to take along with us. We all also bought the Refillable Mugs, but didn't use them that much. The snack credits are great...I ended up having to use 3 of them on the last day and just bought cookies to bring home, but my advice would be to do like Vanessa and take advantage of the fact that you can use them at Goofy's! Those treats are the best bang for the buck and so yummy! Good thing there are no calories in Disney!

We used DDP on our last trip. We thought it was very simple. We made ADR for our TS meals well in advance and we did one for each night of our stay. We always used the TS meals for diners. We liked using the CS meals at breakfast at our resort (WL) the Roaring Forks. We ate a big breakfast to start the day and usually made our TS reservations for 5ish. on our last day we had a bunch of snacks left.

My family used snack options on biscuits and gravy and yogurt parfaits for breakfast. Also, chili cheese fries at lunch. If in doubt, just ask the cashier what qualifies as a snack option. Nobody seemed to mind, when asked. My family enjoys these CS locations:
Poly-Captain Cook's CSR-Pepper Market POFQ/POR-create your own pasta, chef dinner DTD-Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck Express MK-Cosmic Ray's/Pecos Bill's for the fixin' bar, large portions Casey's Corner was okay, hot dogs EPCOT-Sunshine Seasons

![]() Another idea is to use snack credits for things like pastries for breakfast. My wife also used them for coffee at places like the Poly where Kona actually has good coffee. Also, I recommend the refillable mug but be aware you can only use it at your resort and not at any of the parks. |
