Question Nightlife around the resorts...

Heading down with a bunch of family in a few weeks. Last night I was talking to my dad who didn't realize Pleasure Island was no longer. I guess he was looking forward to going over there one night and boogie down with mom, DH, and me . So we need to come up with plan B. He was thinking of going to a lounge in a resort to have a few drinks. This is new territory for DH and I because we usually come back from the parks, grab a cheese/fruit tray from CS and hit the bed. We used to go to PI and the AC (rip ) but since it closed we just go back to the resorts.

We will be staying at OKW (first time) so I'm not sure if there is entertainment around? My other thought was to head over to POR/POFQ as we've seen those guys (but are they still around in each lounge/bar?). How long would it take to get the watertaxi over to DTD and back to POFQ? He thought there might be a bus between resorts as there will be no drinking and driving. But since OKW is right there, DH or I just might be the DD. My parents are driving down so that wouldn't be a big deal.

Any other ideas for "nightlife"? This is so new to me I have no idea where to start!

Even though Pleasure Island is gone, Downtown Disney still has some nightlife. Raglan Road has a bar as does Cooke's of Dublin. There is also the new Club Paradiso 37.

POR still has the piano guy, but I'm not sure about the one-man-band guy at POFQ. However, I think getting back from those resorts late at night on Disney transport will be difficult and time-consuming. It'll be much easier to go to Downtown.

I know, I had thought about Jellyrolls but is smoking still ok? It was too smoky the one time DH and I went but that was a few years ago.

Smoking is not permitted now at Jellyrolls.

Another alternative is Rix Lounge over at Coronado Springs.

My first thoughts were Boardwalk: Jellyroll's or Altantic Dance
CSR, Rix Lounge: http://www.rix-lounge.com/
Some of the DTD restaraunts have entertainment as well, check out Raglan Road, Bongo's, there's also House of Blues....
Many of the nicer resort restaraunts have small lounges.
