Regardless if it's on the same sex or the opposite sex, which type of hair do you prefer mostly?

I just found it interesting how all the guys (yes, even Grilled Cheese Boy

) like it better when I wear my hair straight, while all the girls tell me I should leave my hair curly. This happens with my best friend too. Makes me wonder if it's a psychological thing, a gender thing, or maybe just a geographical thing. Help me out here folks, what do you think?

ETA: Personally, I am a girl and I prefer curly hair 90% of the time.

Maybe the girls appreciate curly hair more because they know what a PITA it is to straighten it.

Personally, I really love curly hair in general, especially if that guy/girl can really rock it without a bunch of frizz.

I love curly hair but never curl mine because it frizzes incredibly and takes way too much time. I used to have really wavy hair and now I'd give a lot to have it back, since I've straightened it so much it's pretty straight when I get up and it takes me around 5 minutes to straighten it.

i remember reading a study in intro psych once that this experiment was done with job interviews.

these people had to interview this set of people, first set of women came in for a professional office type job. they all had curly wigs on. then the same set of women changed wigs to straight hair (different colors) and they got higher marks on the same interview for the same job with straight hair than with curly. however, when asked about who was more attractive, the curly haired women were ranked far higher. so apparently, curly hair is sexier, but not necessarily seen as "professional." and curly hair was viewed as more "taboo" in the work place, becuase of its strong sexual connotations. (apparently)

so, in conclusion, curly hair is sexier, but also a little "dangerous" on a non-conscious level of responses from people.

I'm a guy and I'm usually attracted to girls with wavy or straight hair, I've noticed.

I have always found curly hair to be beautiful! If you would ever a darned awful haircut and you have curly hair, you can hardly even notice what went wrong.

Now, I have pin straight hair and to me its a PITA! Its also quite wirey as well, so it sticks out.

As to what I am attracted too, I would say straight. I have never dated a guy with curly hair before, so I really couldn't have a very good answer.

i have talked to a lot of people about this, cause i found it interesting too.

most of the guys i have talked to have said that they find straight hair to be "hot" and wavy-curly hair to be "cute" .

my hair is naturally curly & i'm lazy so i keep it like that most of the time .
but i LOVE when my hair is straight .

i like curly hair- messy waves cause i think its cute & flirty.
i like straight hair cause it makes me feel super confident when i took all that time to get it straight and i know guys like it that way. and my hair looks so shiny and nice when its straight .

for convenience i prefer my curly hair. but if i really want to look nice i straighten it.

so jot me down for in the middle ?

Curly. Or like how hair looks after it's been scrunched. I rarely straighten my hair because everyone tells me it looks better scrunched.

I like my hair better straight. Guys like it better curly.
Girls like my hair short, but guys hate it and want me to grow it out.

I like my hair long and curly.

I don't prefer any hair on anybody else. Although blonde curly hair on guys is cute.

Inteeeeeerestingg. I find curly hair very beautiful and can see how it's sexy, but straight hair almost gives a "professional" aura. I don't know if that explains it very well. Like, when I see curly hair I think of that person as more laid-back or sophisticated (usually when it's perfectly constructed curls) but when I see someone with straight hair I think of that person as more straight-forward (no pun intended) and professional.

But I also like it curly, just slightly less than when it's straight.

I think I look better when it's straight.
