Tokyo Dining other side options???

Has anyone ever asked for another side at Tokyo dining. I really would like to eat here but my mom is not big on steamed rice (likes fried) or steamed veggies (likes corn). She would be fine with the meat.
Just wondering if anyone has had experience with other side dish options.

1) They might be able to help you out.
2) But, remember, fried rice is Chinese, not Japanese.

I second what Rusty said, the Japanese do like their fried rice, but in the same way I like foreign food. So you will find it in Japan, but in the same way you find other foreign foods pop up in American menus. So for the sake of authenticity, I don't think it would be an option as a side at Tokyo Dining, you could always ask though.

Beside all that. Noodles are served in both Teppan Edo next door, or at the CS across the way. So noodles might be available. For other Japanese sides than rice, steamed veggies or noodles I'm drawing a blank. Well you have deep fried veggies (tempura) or soups (usually miso based)
