BLT Views by room #?

I thought I saw a place where it had what rooms were considered what view? We have a lake view in 7241 but we are on second floor and overlook the bouche (sp?) ball courts. The view isn't bad but and is nice but it seems like stnd so if it is I just want the difference in points back. If not no big deal but it would have been nice to be up higher to actually be able to see the lake. Thanks an BTW I can't believe what a beating these room have already taken in just a few short months.

Oh gosh, looking at that chart, it does look like it should be standard. Keep us posted on what you find out!

Wow, someone has already reported your room number as a Standard View. Are you paying Lake view points? If so, hopefully DVC has already fixed your points to reflect that you are staying in a Standard view versus a lake view villa. I would definitely check to be sure! Good Luck.

I think it's the first report from the room. The bottom chart contains the confirmed room categories and 7241 is currently clear. It's also not listed in the confirmed rooms.

Room 7238 (which should be just across the hallway) has been confirmed as Lake View.

There has not been a specific report on 7241 yet, I had "guessed" that it would be a standard view, but I update the maps once we get real reports. One CM told me that to be lake view, you must be able to see the lake from standing inside the room, not what you can see from the balcony. Please post your info on the view thread:

Well my Mom is next door in 7237 studio and they say that is a std room but I have a lake view??? MS called the resort and they won't reimb my points. In the grand scheme I really don't care but could use the pts! MS told me to ask for a manager and see what they say about it. I will and post back on findings but so far according to the resort 7241 is lake and the studio next door is std!?!!?

I agree w/talking to a manager. If you are polite and just state the facts that your Mom is next door in a SV & your room view is the same, you should only be charged SV points, not LV points. Also remind the manager that MS agrees w/you, maybe that will help. Good luck & enjoy your vacation.

I guess it can't hurt to ask, it isn't a bad view, it like the prefered views overlooking the pool at BWV. Does anyone know do I go to Contemp check in or to the BLT main lobby. I think the only people at BLT lobby is the lounge people for the elevator.

The is no one in the BLT lobby. You need to go to the main lobby of the Contemporary.

Good luck! They really should consider your room to be standard view (which is still better than the best views from most other DVC resorts, in my opinion!).

Ok thanks everyone, got the pts back. Just went spoke to a manager and nicely explained the situation she said let me check. Came back about 15mins later and said thanks for the feedback we will contact MS and reimb you x amount of points.

To be honest if she would have said sorry I would have just let it go as it is a nice view of the courtyard. I could do without the hairy backed guy playing bouche ball below us

I'm shocked as I hear all these horror stories and so far I have been lucky dealing with MS and the resorts. I just hope the continues.

Awesome! I agree that I have had nothing but good luck when I have have spoken with resort management. Any pictures of your view? I was wondering what the lake looked like from that angle.
