rude to eat alone?

so in november there will be a group of us going. me and ash, my two cousins my mam and my aunt. my cousins will do their own thing. my mam has just told me that she is planning on a budget trip and doesnt want to eat at table service each day. personally i am not a big fan of counter service at dlp. what would you do? is it rude to let her eat hopefully with my aunt and ditch her to have decent meals? i have already paid for the entire trip so i am not paying for meals as well. yes eating is my biggest problem each trip

Well if your mom has said she doesn't want to eat at the table service, does she know that you will not be eating with her? I would let her know that you wanted to enjoy the table service meals and ask her if that is ok. I don't think it's a problem to have a little time away from each other and then meet back up for other activities. How does your aunt feel? Where would she perfer to eat? I would get these things settled before the trip so there are no upset feelings while you are on vacation.

I think you need to talk to your mum, so she knows that if she intends doing counter service the whole trip, there will be meals that you and Ash won't be joining her for, as you'll be doing table service.

That way, there will be no misunderstandings between you before you get there, and then hopefully your mum can run her plans by your aunt when she gets back from her holiday. That would be the best thing wouldn't it, if your aunt and mum want to do the counter service meals together instead of table service.

No it is not rude at all - just take time to explain counter service is not for you and I am sure she will understand

You have to remember its your holiday as well

I don't think it's rude either. Perhaps you could have a couple of CS meals with your mum, to keep her happy, then enjoy your TS ones with a clear conscience.

I don't think it is rude either, long as you state before like everyone has said.
it is you'r holiday to, so you should eat where you want to aswell.

I to may do the same as in going alone! Its hard work sometimes going in groups IMO. Due to that i would make sure everyone else is "happy" first before me.....so i would miss things out for myself, plus sometimes you feel as if they dont ask what i would like to do!.

so it will be good to go with just dp and Ds for once.
