Buffalo park and fly hotels - any discounts?

Is the only way to arrange free parking at Buffalo airport hotels is by booking with the hotel sites directly? Or is there a way to book these hotels through discount sites like hotwire etc. and then somehow add park and fly afterwards?

Also, what kinds of rates are typical for park and fly at these hotels? How much more than the hotel stay is it to be able to park there?

I booked our hotel and park and fly through a website buffalo.parksleepfly.com. It gave you all the different hotels that participate in Buffalo and their descriptions and prices.

Hope that helps.

The Millennium Hotel has a $99 deal on now that includes 14 days of parking. (go to thier website - or maybe travelzoo?)

We stayed there and they shuttled us to and from the airport - no problems.

We also stayed at the Millennium Hotel using the $99 Travelzoo special...not sure if it's still valid though as the code we used expired September 30th.

You can't use Priceline and like as that fee doesn't include the parking. I've read that some hotels have refused to add parking or have added it at a very high cost.

You're best to book knowing that you've booked a park and fly rate that way you won't face any surprises when you arrive.

We just got back this past Sunday. We stayed at the Sleep Inn in Buffalo right across from the airport. Your car is parked on Airport Property within walking distance from the hotel, so if you forget anything in the car after dropping it off it still easily accessible (know this from experience..hehe)

Nothing luxurious about the place, but it is clean and convenient and breakfast is included for the cost. We had no issues being dropped off at the airport and were picked up within 10 mins. or less from calling when we landed in Buffalo.

I originally booked with the ParkSleep&Fly website, but had to call the hotel directly when I realized I had made a mistake with my reservations. (oopss...forgot the kids were staying with us.)

While talking to the girl she let me know that it is actually cheaper to book directly through them then it was to book through the ParkSleep&Fly website as they take on their service fees and take a deposit on your credit card at time of booking. If you book directly through the hotel they do not charge the fees or take a deposit. It was cheaper for me to cancel my reservations and book through the website and loose the non-refunable fees.

Billing Details for ParkSleep&Fly
$125.00 USD Room Charge w/Parking ( days)
$17.19 USD Taxes*
$4.99 USD Transaction Fee
For a total of $147.18 ($20.00 deposit due at booking)

Billing Details for SleepInn Directly
$114.00 ~ $15 USD Taxes for total $129.00 (and change)

Hope this helps

How good is the shuttle service to and from the Millenium Airport? i.e. is there a long wait at the airport to take you to the hotel?

I have booked the LaQuinta in Buffalo for one night (2 adults) airport park and stay package for $99.00 American 27 April 2010. Free continental breakfast starts at 5:00 a.m.

I have not put any money down, just guaranteed with my credit card. They also have a good cancellation policy. Free shuttle to airport and shuttle back.

Total Estimated Stay...: $112.62
Rate Summary:
Room Charges: $99.00
Taxes: $13.62

Included up to 7 days parking, for up to 14 days parking the rate would be $119.00.

We had done a few of the different Buf airport hotels with the sleep/park packages in the past but we have also done this-park at the airport, use the printable coupon from the Buffalo airport website and use Priceline for the hotel. If you are going down for a week or so this is probably the best way to go IF you can get a good price with Priceline. I almost aways bid on the 3.5* Amhurst which has always come up with the Amhurst Marriott (no guarantees though) which is about an exit away near McKinley Mall and the UofB.Keep in mind if you have an early weekday flight this may not be the best strategy as people commute on the highway you need to take to get to the airport from the Marriott. I have never paid more than 50/night plus the Priceline fees of about 10 bucks and we end up with a beautiful room, amazing beds and indoor pool. This DOES NOT include the parking for the time you are away but it ends up just as cheap if not cheaper when you add the airport site parking less coupon with the hotel stay and you dont have to take a shuttle or wait for one on your way home. If you look at www.biddingfortravel.com it will give you a list of the Buffalo area hotels and an idea of what people have paid in the past-just my (frugal) two cents!!!
