Epcot monorail at POLY?

We are planning to eat at Kona one morning before we go to Epcot. Can you take a monorail straight to Epcot from the Poly?? I am sorry to say we skipped Epcot last year when we stayed at Poly so I dont know where you pick it up.

No.You can either take the Resort Monorail form the Polynesian around past Magic Kingdom to the Ticket and Transportation Center and then transfer to the Epcot Monorail there or you can make the 8-10 minute walk fro the Kona Cafe to the Ticket and Transportation Center and board the Epcot Monorail. There is no direct monorail from th Polynesian to Epcot.

No, you need to take the monorail to the TTC and change there for the resort monorail.

ETA: Oops, read the question backwards. You would need to take the resort monorail (or walk) to the TTC and catch the Epcot monorail from there.

It is quicker to walk to the TTC to catch the monorail than it is to take the resort monorail and make stops at GF, MK, CR, TTC and then transfer. I say you travel 85-90% of the monorail loop when going from Poly to the TTC.

If you ever look at a satellite/aerial view of the Poly/TTC area you will see how close these areas are to each other.

It is a very quick walk from the Kona Cafe to the TTC, then a direct monorial to Epcot. The walk has nice quiet pathways with beautiful landscaping. 5 minutes maybe.

When going from the Polynesian to Epcot it's always a good idea to walk over to the TTC, because if you took the Resort Monorail it will stop at the Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom, and Contemporary before it arrives at the TTC. So it will take a lot longer compared to a 10 minute walk.

I think you will really enjoy the ride. The best part is when the Monorail goes INSIDE of Epcot and you can see Future World and World Showcase from the Monorail.I look at the Monorail and Boats as attractions in themselves.
