Is Club Level at Beach Club worth the extra $$$
So, for our trip in March, We did decide on the Beach Club!! Very excited!! I noticed that to stay club level was an additional $600.0+ for our length of stay (3/21-3/28) We went ahead and booked and now wonder if anyone here has recently stayed at the Beach Club Cl rooms?? I really haven't seen the best reviews on the boards for the club level for BC and am a bit concerned. Seems a lot of the consensus here is that the room is small, crowded, features no view and the food is just standard and not as plentiful nor as flavorful as other resorts that feature this service. What has your experience been with the menu?? Are the room accomodations any nicer or bigger than a standard? Is the CL room small and crowded??? Any and all comments along with any pictures would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
Michelle

Only you know if you will eat close to $100 a day worth of snacks/sodas, etc from the Club level in order to justify the increased room cost. Except for breakfast, there really isn't enough put out at lunch or evenings to make a meal from it; it is just snacks. In the morning, think continental breakfast. Lunch is pretty much cheese, fruit, raw veggies, crackers and pb&j mini sandwiches, fish crackers, etc. Evening is pretty much the same with a hot item added, something like chicken wings or ribs, etc. They do have some wine (not good wine) and beer.
I can't tell you how the rooms may be different because we have only stayed club level at the deluxe resorts. I have not stayed at BC since the remodel so I don't know if the club room is still small and cramped. It was last year when we stayed there. BC is my least favorite club level at WDW that we have tried.

In my opinon, no. Their transportation is terrible and the Marketplace has very limited food choices. To me, that is a deal breaker about this resort. When we stayed there we did like the proximity to EPCOT and the resort were nice, but the transportation was so bad that we will never consider the Beach Club or Yacht Club again.....especially to pay the additional charge for club level.

I totally disgaree.
We are at the Yacht Club, club level right now. It's all about convenience. If you like Epcot or Disney Studios you cant beat the location. If you will spend most of your time at Magic Kingdom then the Poly or the Contemporary may be better for you. Dinner snacks arent meant to be a meal. They always have 2 hot entrees, 3 cheeses, salad, kids stuff, rolls, etc. They have 4 wines out, about 6 different beers, pop and water and juice. ski |

we love the location of the beach club.....
being close to Epcot is a plus even though we do spend a lot of time at MK I really am happy with my choice to stay at the BC!! Love the pool area for sure! I was just wondering about the food, drinks and services and whether or not that specifically was worth the additional $$
Thanks

We stayed at the BC CL. We found the lounge food to be adequate for what it's meant to be, snacks, not meals. We had the dining plan also. The rooms were a good size, although I must add that we only had two in a room. The location was wonderful for Epcot and Studies, but I have to say that the transportation was awful. We usually always rent a car, but didn't for that trip. We spent way too much time waiting for buses. We ended up taking taxis 3 or 4 times because I just could not take the buses anymore. We talked to a lot of people while waiting for buses and most were also in agreement that the transportation is not at a level you should expect for a deluxe resort. If we stay there again we will rent a car. The pool is wonderful, but I found it can get crowded at certain times of the day.

We've stayed at BC CL twice and YC CL once and loved it!
I don't think you can put it down to dollars and cents. It is mostly about convenience. IPO can make all your ADRs, you have access to the lounge for a quick breakfast before hitting the parks, drinks and snacks throughout the day, wine, beer and cordials in the evenings along with appetizers and desserts. We are debating back and forth about our next trip - BC CL or BC standard with delxue dining. We used to do regular DDP and CL, but now the price is actually cheaper to do deluxe dining with a regular room. Of course I'm still hoping a really good deal comes out because we had a deluxe CL room this summer at BC and just loved it!

It's true, BC's and YC's concierge levels are often ignored on the Boards, but I don't think it's because people don't like it. I can't talk about the club level service there, but all the concierge levels are really similar in terms of food offerings. Obviously, AKL is going to get the food prepared by chefs at Boma and Jiko and vice versa at other resorts, but the standard items will be the same- drink offerings, continental bfast offerings, uncrustables for the kids, etc. I think the plus about concierge level is having the cast members on hand to make your ressies and help out with your requests. If you don't think that the food and extra attention is worth it, then definitely don't pay for the concierge level service.
For the BC and YC themselves, the resorts are AMAZING. I think that you can't really judge a resort on one trip. I've stayed at both the BCV and YC on different trips, as well as dined at the resorts' restaurants on different trips, and have never had a bad time. Transportation was awesome. If you're a HS or Epcot fan, this location is perfect for you. The buses to the other parks were not bad at all for my family. We don't have any negatives at this resort. Have fun! (Oh, and the pool is to die for.)

My family and I stayed at the BC CL in a garden view room in July of this year for 3 nights. We had originally booked a standard room, but saw a great discount for florida residents to upgrade to club level. It was less than $80 total to upgrade from what we had already so we went for it. We didn't use any of the pre-planning services, which a lot of club level fans really seem to like, so I can't comment on that. The lounge was definitely small. We always seemed to time it right when we went in there to eat and were able to find a table, but there is definitely not enough seats for the amount of guests staying club level. I do know they were or are going to be doing a refurb and making the lounge bigger but don't remember when that will be. The food was fine, definitely convenient to have a quick place to run for breakfast, some sodas and snacks in the afternoon, desserts at night, and when we could, the appetizers in the evening. Our room was very nice, but our view was of a roof top and the entrance of the BC. I didn't really care, but it really was not a great view at all. I did however LOVE the BC as a resort, and would not hesitate to stay there again. The pool is the best I've been in on property and the location to epcot and MGM is awesome. I have stayed at other epcot resorts and getting to the MK and DTD was a hassle on the busses, but the same issues can be said about other resorts (i.e. the bus to MGM from the Poly took forever!!!).
To answer your question, if I had the extra money to spend, I would always stay club level because I like it. If it was a little bit more or if there was another amazing discount like I had, I would stay club level. If it was costing me $600 for my stay to do it, I wouldn't do it. But I would still stay at the BC - it is now one of my favorite resorts!
