QSDP for 2010 pared down?

As I browse through the restaurant selections in the QSDP and try to decide if we want to utilize it for our January 2010 trip, I'm noticing that a 2010 printout showing which restaurants participate is a bit smaller. For instance it only shows one place in Downtown Disney participating - FoodQuest. Have some restaurants dropped off? I originally though Wolfgang Puck Express was one of the choices.

My understanding is that the restaurants (non-Disney owned) have until Dec.31/Jan.1 to decide if they wish to participate. Don't worry, this was the case with the 2009 brochure as well until late in the game.

Enjoy your planning!

They cannot add restaurants that are not owned and operated by Disney to each year's lists until those restaurants renew their contracts. This is standard procedure every year and every year we see a ton of posts asking the same question. Don't worry, every year all the restaurants come back and are listed on the new brochures available on January 1. Just use the 2009 list for planning. In the history of the WDW dining plans, only Fulton's has ever dropped the plan.

Thanks for the info! This makes the idea of going with the QS plan a bit more "palatable" ; )

I'd prefer a few more choices than hamburgers and sandwiches, which I see a lot of, in the QS plan.

Loved the regular plan, but we're trying to save some money.

thanks again!

Don't worry about burgers and sandwiches. I managed two and a half weeks at the World eating only at resort or (90% of the time) in the theme parks and never ate a single burger, hot dog or any of the typical fast food type meals.

Each park has CS places where you can get different types of food like salads, rotisserie chicken, ribs, rice/noodle bowls.... the choice is endless. Here are some ideas (go check out the menus on AllEars.net):

MK: Cosmic Rays, Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace, Pecos Bills
AK: Pizzafari, Flame Tree Barbeque, Yak & Yeti CS
Epcot: The choices are endless - Sunshine Seasons in Future World and plenty choice in World Showcase
HS: You'll need to check out the threads and see if others can be of more help - this was the only park I struggled with food. I ended up eating icecream as my lunch and going to DTD for dinner. I am sure there are places with great choices here - I just didn't know where to look for them.

Oh, and don't forget Wolfgang Express at DTD!!!!
