40 inches tall!

We visited disney sept 15 to the 22. About one month prioir our daughter was 38 inches. She ate all her vitamins and grew 2 inches! In disney she easily made the height recquirement with shoes on. At 3 years and 8 months old she rode Test track, Soarin, Splash mountain, Big thunder mountain and Tower of terror twice. She was fearless on the rides. Honey I Shrunk the audience scared her though, she thought the cat/lion was going to get her and the snake made her scream. Go figure.

That's awesome. My ds made it on our last trip. He was 3 years and 5 months at the time but was quite scared of many of the rides he could go on. We are hoping this year he will be less cautious!

My dd made it for the first time on our trip Sept. 16-23. It was awesome!! She did TOT 2 times in a row. She's such a daredevil that we just couldn't wait for her to reach the magic height. Now I want her to get up to 44" so that she can do space mountain and EE!

My daughter is 5 yrs old ( will be 6 in December) and is BARELY over the 40" ! I guess it is only to be expected since DH and I are 5'7 and 5'2 respectively. She is going to be a peanut.I hope though that she is over the definitve 40" mark for our December trip.

my DD got the height at about 4yo (she's 5 next month).. She could have rode TM, but was too busy with Goofy's coaster... then in May I brought her on TM and she LOVED IT!!!

I don't know if I'd have brought her on ToT yet... Now our DS looks to hit the mark much sooner... he's already 33" and is just 15 months. He's bigger than our neighbor's 2yo+

I bet between 2-3 he hits the mark...

My son was just 40 inches on our last trip (just turned 4) and loved Big Thunder Mountain, Soarin' and Splash Mountain. I am not sure about Tower of Terror for him though, he sometimes gets scared of things like that. I know he'd love the ride portion, but the spooky set up may freak him out too much.

We are in that boat right now. However, I think my DS3 will hit that mark. He is 38" in the tennis shoes that he normally wears to the parks and his crocs. We don't go until May. I think it is completely possible for him to hit that 40" mark in a little over 7 months. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though.

I just had a discussion this AM with DD ~6 about the Barnstormer. She's already worried about riding it. DD 3 will be the daredevil and ride the big girl rides, but she's going to be shy of 40" more than likely. She was just over 36" in August when we did some boardwalk rides in OCNJ. Our next trip to WDW is in December.

Always be the second one in the outhouse. It's going to smell anyway so you might as well have a warm seat.

OMG, this post is so funny because just yesterday I had my daughter (2 yr 10 months) stand up against the wall and I marked how tall she was (37 inches with no shoes). Then I put a mark at 40 inches and told her she has to get "this tall" by next September when we go to Disney.

You guys are too funny.

That is so funny that you posted this. I just measured my DD4 yesterday and she is really close to 40" mark. I told her she has 5 months to grow, LOL! She is so excited for Disney. she keeps giving me any change she finds and tells me to put it towards our trip to Disney World. She is always trying to help with everything.

My other DD7, is just shy of 48", but she has been growing like a weed lately. DD4 doesn't mind that she can't ride them all- and doesn't get upset when her sister rides the ones she is too short for.

They both love roller coasters/ waterslides and all rides. They are pretty fearless, so as long as they both reach their height goals in the next 5 months we are good to go!

Grand daughter is almost 40 inches now-- and we still have another year to wait- She is 3.9 months old. We watch Youtube at least once a month so she will know what she can expect.

We told her if she is scared sheholds someones hand and it will be all better.
We also told her she will get a special bracelet to wear for when she is scared. (those glow bracelets really come in handy)

My 3 year old grand daughter is a little daredevil. She rode Barnstormer 4 times last week and Kali Rapids once. Her parents didn't take her on TOT, SM or BTRR. She was pretty upset that she couldn't go on Primeval Whirl.
She's barely 40" in sneakers. :-)

Cute!!! She did a great job being so brave on TOT.

My girls will be 3 yrs and 10 months when we go to WDW again. We are hoping they will be tall enough. I know that they would love Splash Mountain. I think it is time to get out our height charts!

Our trip next week is to "celebrate" that my DD finally hit 40in. She's been wanting to ride the bigger rides since our first trip. We actually hadn't planned on going this year, but at her 4 yr checkup, the nurse measured her and said "you're 40 inches." She then looked right at me and said "I can ride the big rollarcoasters now!" How could we not plan a trip!?
